You know, I am a sucker for a good deal.  Especially when it is a deal on something that I REALLY WANT!!  DBL has opened my eyes to the beauty of the warmer color diamonds. 

Of course, I wouldn't kick an F-G out of bed for eating crackers, if you know what I mean...

Okay...so now comes the confession...and my promise..."I, CaratHead solemnly swear not to buy anymore diamonds until after my birthday in September...except for this one...my early birthday present...(which arrives on Friday!).

Oh I love it!  I have looked at that one many times.  When you do hand shots can you try to take them in lots of different lighting so we can all see how the color shifts?

Well, I was hoping to have it Friday, but not sure if it will make it...and YES, I will try to use the other side of my brain for a change and take some artistic photos in various lighting conditions.

I will take some photos this weekend...hopefully we will get some sun! 

To help me pay for these babies, I will need to sell a couple of things that are pretty cool...some bezel set .70 OEC studs and some dangly earring jackets with marquise and round bezel set diamonds.  I will be photographing them this weekend...

The sacrifices we must make for our addiction...!

And yes...that one has been on my wishlist FOREVER...I actually tried it on about a year ago!  I will have to tell you about how I broke the news to my husband...not as good as your story, DJ, but...more on that tonight.  Gotta' go to work...

2 hands, 10 fingers, 6 rings (including the new princess from DBL and the marquise that is being set).  Everything else has been sold, traded, etc.  So, that isn't really that much, is it?  (Okay, I didn't count my wedding band.)

I tried a different approach with the husband this time...honesty!  He could tell that my mind was very preoccupied all weekend.  I was really churning over buying this ring (wanted it so badly, but dreading bringing it up).  By the end of the weekend, he was so bothered by my moping around and being clearly upset about something that he thought HE had done something wrong. 

So, when I finally told him what was going on, he was actually RELIEVED!  He thought I was upset and disappointed with him for some reason.  Once I reassured him that he was not the problem, the negotiations for the ring went relatively smoothly!
