Take your rings, and a bright LED keychain flashlight. Go into a dark room, and shine the flashlight into the back of the ring. A lot of fun to do in a dark car while waiting for the kid at practice

Yes, I love doing that too BJ! They make all different colors of those LED's too......I love the black light ones because I have a few diamonds that fluoresce!

I've never done this either and I've had a LED light on my keychain forever.  My DH just walked into our dark bathroom where I was trying this and busted!    Roll Eyes  I had to explain to him what the heck I was doing.  I can hear him in the other room still chuckling.  Grin

My hubby just laughs at me! I'll stop dead in my tracks to check out my rings in a Haunted House, Bowling Alley or Skating Rink.........or any place with a black light----I just love fluorescent diamonds! And have you ever seen a ruby under a black light? It goes BRIGHT RED!

What we do to keep us entertained!!!

Most stores have them in the automotive section, or sometimes near the checkout....

Ok, here's the 2 pics of my yellow RHR with a black light that David was so kind to send since I once mentioned that I needed to find a black light!

All I did was put the ring on a cushion, left hand was holding the light, and right hand (no tripod) took the pic w/ the macro on.  I might have rested my RH w/ the camera on the cushion?Huh?
