Hi,
I have a question and would like your opinion please!
I am considering a 2.06ct radiant cut 8.01x6.43 . I want a 3 stone ring set in a basket setting. I do not want the side stones to overpower the center, but want a ring with alot of bling.
I really like the traps and wanted to know if a 5x3 or a 5.5x3.4 trap be too small for side stones or would it be a nice balance to the center stone?

Thanks!

Oh, I love traps. Let me flag this for our owner.

Hi Everyone,
Happy- trying to  ake thiese types of chioces without using the diamond is like trying to drive blindfolded- you just can't see things that are important!
When picking sidestones things like to angle of the corners of the center are crucial.

Thanks for your reply.  I will keep that info in mind when I view the stones.
I guess there is no quick answer.
I am waiting to hear from my local guy to come and see the stones when they arrive.
Maybe when I see the stones together, that is when I will be able to tell if I like it or not.

I love radiants!  My ER is a .96 radiant with trills.  I've worn it eleven years, and never get tired of watching it sparkle :-).

I love traps with a radiant, too.

But let your jeweler help you find the right balance of stones.  I think this is something David does very well.

He is hands-down the best at matching sides stones and center. He eyeballs it, scrutinizes it, tries different things and lets it sit and marinate so he can look at the "layout" again later. He also gets unusual side stones that I've never seen elsewhere.
