Hi everybody!

I just want to know why actual diamond cutter don't offer Old European Cut? This cut is really beautiful and there are much people who like it. Could you tell me please?

Thank you!

Hi Sylvie,
I suppose it's becasue the dollars involved- old syle diamonds, while lovely- are worth less than modern cut ones.
That's why you won't find a lot of larger high quality old miner diamonds- unless they are in an important historical piece they are ususally worth a lot more after a re-cut to modern style.

Thank you David!

I asked this question because I found a broken OEC and if I had been able to make it recut, that would have been marvellous! I don't want it recut in modern cut, I prefer Old European Cut.
