Aw, thanks Ronda.  Yeah I'm fine.  My DH is supposed to be coming home tonight but he's been delayed.  I'm waiting up for him......and I'm dog tired!  I think I need to call his cell phone and just go to bed!

Aww.... I bet you are tired.  It is hard to go to bed though knowing that your husband sure would love for you to greet him with open arms!    I know mine would, even if I was dog tired!!  ~Ronda

Long story behind the story of the asscher's departure...  Had a very rocky marital period, ended up getting divorced in January... I know, I know, we'd only been married 1 1/2 years...but....  So I sold the asscher with intention of using the money to buy myself a DBL yellow.

Anywho... looks like things are on the mend.  We went out on our second 1st date a few nights ago.  So what's the first thing I do?  Well, being a true CDI infautated freak of nature, I start looking for my second ER from Kurt, "just in case".  A girl can never be too prepared, you know.  I'm sure you'll agree...

I truly loved my asscher, and went through some serious withdrawals, but found that one thing I didn't love about it was the small spread you got for even a stone that was almost 1.5 carats.  Now if I had an asscher the size of Michi's, that wouldn't be an issue.

I've always loved jewelry that had a vintage look, and what better opportunity to try a new "flavor" of diamond???  I even showed it to my ex-DH probable future-DH last night, and he gave the seal of approval.  Guess we'll have to see how things progress.

Now see, I knew there be some advantage to going through that whole divorce mess.  Maybe that was my plan all along...   busted   OK, so I'm kidding about that part, but if it means a new diamond.....

I'm sorry about the divorce. I had no idea  Sad However, it does mean a new ER!  4 Hope things work out for you (either with Kurt or someone else wonderful and deserving of you).
That cushion would be wonderful! How about... you get YOURSELF something sparklie as a reward for all this turmoil and when you are in a position to get engaged again, you get ANOTHER sparklie!  Evil

David's got a 1.26 carat L SI1 that I keep coming back to.  Not yellow, but it would be a beatiful vintage looking ring in a halo mount.

I think CH just bought this diamond... and she is setting it in a halo  4

Oh, Pandora, I am sorry I grabbed your diamond.  I have been looking at it for so long, then when my yellow heart wouldn't fit in a pre-made casting, I grabbed the cushion.  I hope it is as neat looking in person.

David sure has a lot of cushions at the moment...I hope you find just what you are looking for.  And I am sorry about the whole divorce thing.  Maybe you just needed to know what it felt like to be without eachother.  And this definitely merits a larger second ER!

Tea, I'm glad things are on the mend.  At worst, I hope that you two become closer friends.  You have history with Kurt you know.

Hmmmm yes, BUSTED!! I knew it!! You had ulterior motives!! LOL nah... I still have your ER saved on file--I loved the simplicity of a solitaire.  It's so sad that an asscher faces up small you know? And yes, Michi's asscher would fix that problem!!!!!!

CH, there's noone I'd rather see have that diamond than one of my CDI sisters!! And from what I've read in David's posts, there should be cushions galore in the months to come.

You just gave me an excuse to have to look at a bigger one, that's all...

Many times those who have divorced and then remarried the same person realize how important they are to each other. Glad to hear that you two decided to give it one more try.  I sure hope that the second time around for you and Kurt will last forever!   I think a diamond double the size of your asscher is appropriate.   3 carats!  icon_cyclops_ani  ..........Just kidding......... Yes, David is turning out some incredible Cushion cuts................I think you will find something that will be perfect for the second time around.  icon_thumleft

Hmmmm. That wasn't my intention. However, Michi sent it to me. Perhaps she had it in mind! Michi, 'fess up!

Glad to hear things are going haphazardly well Pandora. It makes me smile to think that you might be mending things. We will wait and see and let you let us know. In the mean time, we are more than happy to offer 10 thousand suggestions on your "maybe, might be"  new e-ring.

Awww...Pandora, I'm sorry about you going through the divorce, but am glad to hear that things are on the mend.  My DH and I actually have been through what y'all are going through.  Long story short: We were married for 10 years, got divorced for 6 years, and have been re-married for 7 years.  And, you should know that you aren't the only one who gets new diamonds on these occasions.  In our case, what luvnjewelry said is true...we appreciate each other much more this time around.  I wish only the best for you two.

Hi Farside,

Thank you for the suggestion.  I really like that setting alot!  Score-101010

I'm actually hoping to change the setting before the end of the year and this one is definitely at the top of my list.  I'll have to save a little more $$ first though.   Thanx
