Thought I would post my lovely lovely e-ring that I bought from David last week. She is absolutely amazing and sparklie. Not used to all the flashes of colors dancing all over the place ... YET.... takes even the lowest lighting situations and puts on a brilliant show!
It's a 2.28ct J/VVS. I'm sold on these warmer colors. It's such a great value! As you can tell, in most pictures, it's as white as can be  Grin

DANG I just love that pic on top of the red box - the red filters right through the EC and it looks INCREDIBLE!  The head is impeccable too.  Those extra points add such a neat touch.  You are one lucky lady!

Tea, it is absolutely stunning!  I would never think it is a J color.  It looks colorless to me.

I really think J is the smart woman's G !

Oh, you might see that quote in an auction or a listing description. I'll put quote marks and give CaratHead credit for it.

I have to agree. I, too, have a J color em cut. And after seeing a lot of ours, I'd easily go much lower in color on a white diamond.

How did this thread get past me?? Huh? You diamond goes without saying is GORGEOUS.   That setting is perfect too.  I love the "tulip" style basket on this.  In this case, less is MORE.   This is another setting I have considered for my pear shaped diamond.   .................That is another thread........    I LOVE the NEW AVATAR TEA!!!    Another keeper in MY PICTURES FILE!~Ronda

Thank you everyone!! I'm glad that my wedding band basically goes with anything. It has the look of a classic band with a touch of understated bling  Cool
When we got married 3 1/2 years ago, hubby chose the wedding band... though it was a compromise. He wanted a plain platinum band, I wanted an eternity band. I loved it from the moment we tried it on. He gets his plain platinum band look (sorta), I get diamonds all the way around (sorta). It was a splurge to buy my band from Tiffany but since we were holding off on getting my "e-ring" until we could afford it (now), it was what we wanted.
I'm soooooo lovin' this ring!  Grin

Enjoy the rainbows Smiley

CH - great quote!  I completely agree.  I would by a J from David any day.

I love your ring Tea. It's the prettiest EC I've ever seen! Nice size too. And I love the special setting you chose......those scallops are so beautiful! It really goes well with your wedding band too---I'm glad you got some BLING in it!

Your pics look professionally done!

What's your "inner magpie"? I've never heard that term before.

That setting really is magnificent tea. It's so exquisite and I've never seen a basket that looked quite like that!

That diamond is fantastic too, but I don't think David even sells diamonds that don't out perform. I'm definitely a fan of warmer colored diamonds too...my oval is an I (at least according to EGL, I'd say it's a tad yellower IMO) and I like how it takes on different hues of white in various lighting conditions.

A magpie is a bird that likes all things shiny... so in a way, we all have a bit of a magpie inside of us since we love sparklies!

I know I have some magpie in me.

In general, I'm really quite oblivious to the world around me (yes this does cause the occasional problem), but when it comes to something that shines, I'm tuned right in!

Thanks for the explanation.

I know what bird a magpie is.....but I never knew they liked shiny things! Interesting!

I know they like to tease dogs & theirs crows are sooooo annoying! We had one that would swoop down into our yard to tease our dog, then fly off anytime the dog got close!

Magpie nests have held all kinds of treasures - literally!  They have been known to pick up necklaces and rings left next to open windows.  A Magpie should be our mascot!  LOL!

You guys will have to remind me in a couple of months.

I was spending time getting these dang smilies loaded when I shoulda been getting t-shirts. Now you're using the hourglass AGAINST me! Oh how could you? I wish I could tell you guys I'm weeping uncontrollably now but I'm laughing my @$$ off at Ronda's smiley usage.

Inner Magpie!  What a riot, Tea...  Magpie as a mascot?  Let's see......we'll use black diamonds and give it blue diamond eyes (since we already have the PINK CosmoDTini signature gizzy.  Although we could do a blue stud and call it the CosmoD-BLini!!)

Needless to say, I still love, love, LOVE your ring.  You can get lost in it for hours.  We are so lucky to have found David.  Here in Denver, I hardly EVER have seen an EC, and when I have, they have looked like window glass.  I don't know why anyone would buy those.  In fact, I thought I didn't  like EC's until I saw one in Houston that happened to have a good enough cut.  From that moment,  they became my favorite.  But then, I still couldn't find one that spoke to me until David....
