Well, time to let the cat out of the bag...mixed-smiley-044

I  bought WebMistress's asscher ring with the 1.45ct asscher diamond planning to re-set it with a pink gold halo.  However, this setting is so gorgeous, and the double prongs are so fabulous, that I kind of had a problem pulling it apart...



So, I started looking for a loose asscher...David always has so many lovelies to choose from...

I decided on this one:

SHAPE: Asscher Cut
COLOR: K
CLARITY: VVS2
MEASUREMENTS: 7.42 x 7.21 x 4.53 mm
TOTAL DEPTH: 62.8%
TABLE SIZE: 61%

It will be bezel set with a pink gold halo and platinum shank.  I am very excited about it...and now have the fun of waiting for it to be made.  Robin's ring was my inspiration...thanks Robin!!

Just beautiful.  It is hard to improve on WBs (ooops, now CH's!) asscher ring.  But, CH, your new project sounds fabulous, and WHAT a GORGEOUS diamond! I'm very excited for you and can't WAIT to see this beauty...  drool

Oh, and for those who don't have all this stuff memorized  Grin, my Asscher is a 1.58 (6.26X6.26mm) VVS1 L.  However, I still can't believe it's an L.  In most lights, I don't see a tint.  I loveitloveitloveit.
