Hi everybody!
Diamonds are priced based on their carat weight (size).  For example, a 1.00 is worth more per carat than a .90.  This can represent a nice savings.  If we're using a hypothetical one carat diamond that might cost $5,000, the corresponding .90 carat diamond would probably cost around $4200 per carat, for a per stone cost of $3780.
In my hypothetical example, a 10% difference in weight results in a 23% reduction in price.
Suffice it to say, finding nice 90 .diamonds is a good thing to do.
Our old friend Sam Spade, loves 90 .diamonds.
We use them to make dynamite 1.80 carat total weight earrings.

Anyway, today old Sam stopped by with this parcel to show us.
"Hey David, if I bring by a parcel of 90 pointers, will you take pictures and put them up on the machine?"  (He still can't seem to use the term computer, or Internet, or CDI)
sure Sam!

Sam had separated the diamonds into the 90 pointers, and the ones which weighed  85, eighty six, eighty seven points, feeling that the 90 pointers were worth more.
I, however, don't mind 85 pointers at all.

Especially when they're really cut beautifully.  Funny, you can even tell when they're upside down.

There are pretty nice color, I'd say mostly F, G, and H.

Plus, there are textbook SI3's.
Put all this together and we can offer these CDI members, for a price of $2700 per carat

I am a huge sucker for Sam's specials.  You're right about being able to get a good feeling for them even though they're upside now - spectacular!

You are really making this "saving for the beach house" thing impossible.   Let me think about this.  I just had surgery, so I don't want to be under the influence when I make a decision.

Oh no, Mrs. Mitchell, not really, although I think God invented diamonds to pay women back for female problems (if ya know what I mean!)   I had had an ovarian cyst removed a long long time ago and it formed some scar tissue. They found some uterine fibroids.   NOT FUN, but not serious.
