I love it. Particularly the slightly bowed out shape of it.

What does it mean about crown angles being greater. I am going to stick my neck out and guess the slope leans more?

This one seems less angular/harsh looking... Like there's a sligh arch on the sides??

Hi all!
Yes. it does have bowed sides.
And yes, we'll have it in stock on the site later today....

a few more shots...

Good question WM,
Crown angle refers to the way the top of the diamond rises above the girdle.
Generally a diamond will have an angle in the high 20's.
GiA notates if it's steeper.
in the case of this diamond- the total depth is 49.4%- which sounds shallow.
Trilliants are normally much shallower than the other cuts- so that's normal- but the taller crown gives the stone amazing sparkle- as opposed to the type of stone DL posted- which looks lovely- but it's easier to get a great glittery stone out of a shallow rough than one with great sparkle- as this one has.

 - here's a shield we had last year- a 4.62carat....

DL- thank you for reminding me- because this new trilliant has some similarities to these shields- it's triangular!

Here's how we set it.....using a design of the our friend who purchased it!

Love that big Trilliant!  I think rather than setting it east/west, if it were mine (don't I wish!), I'd set it north/south, like a pear.  Maybe even with a halo??  Would that be cool?  Or is it too big for that, really?

I've got to catch up!  Who's anti-trilliant, lol?!  I love this diamond!  You can send her to me and I'll console her if anyone's hurt her feelings!  I LOVE that shield - I do like the  cut corners.

WHO that is a whoppin trilliant!   But after seeing that radiant... I guess you may be kicken my booty....................The trilliant is gorgeous no doubt.............but there would be no convincing me to by that radiant over the trilliant if the $ tree became available!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do like the "beveled" looking edges on the trilliant!  YUMMY!

I WISH!!!!

The only rings still to date, that I like with trill sides is that 3 carat radiant that David posted and CH's former Pricness w/ trills.. I think the proportions make or break the look...

You're preaching to the converted here, David. That is one awesome trill though.

Get another, would you? I'd like them as sidestones for a discrete, barely there little ring. Grin

Actually, I'd have it as a bezel set pendant in a heartbeat. It's a stonker!

I can see the trilliant ring being an ER for a very "hip"  and modern young lady.  Very different!  Pretty!

I would love to see that trilliant as a fixed pendant with a very, very delicate halo.  That would be delish!!!
