As I was emailing David, regarding something COMPLETELY different,  Grin the Brown Truck arrived with little boy shoes and DBL DIAMOND STUDS AND JACKETS!!!!!!!!!

Just as so many people have written on these threads, the pieces FAR exceed my expectations.  They are exquisitely gorgeous, golden warm, and sparkly. And best of all, the 1.01 ctw diamond studs match the center diamond in the pendant PERFECTLY.  Finally, I have a beautiful compliment for my great grandmother's pendant.

I PROMISE photos later today... since I've been "trapped" here, I've got to run out for a bit, then take care of afterschool stuff for my son...

OK, unexpected guest has finally left. Didn't matter anyway, I spent the last hour of her visit holed up in the bedroom taking crummy shots of the ERs. Then, it has taken me more than an hour to get six, yes, just six, photos loaded onto Photobucket. I don't know if it is my satellite connection (bad weather) or Photobucket, but it has been torture. I sized three, then, finally, I quit.  Here's what I have...

Pretty neat, huh?  What I love most is that David and crew were able to match the overall colors and essence of the antique pendant without going "over the top."  Very classic. Very feminine.  And the cut of the studs is to DIE for; they have a beautiful quality that I can't quite explain. I'll have to study them some more!

I didn't have time to take photos of the studs alone, I just have photos of the studs inside the jackets.

Again, David and Marc, THANK YOU for a gorgeous set and an UNBELIEVABLY FAST turnaround. You all are TOPS. I am thrilled to have these beautiful earrings and jackets, and, I can't WAIT to wear them on my wedding day.  Kiss

PL here are the stats:
• 2 round brilliant diamonds, 1.01 ctw, L, VS1 set in 14K yellow gold earrings; the posts are extra long (a thoughtful DBL touch to accomodate the jackets) GORGEOUS!
• 20 round brilliant diamonds, 0.83 ctw, F-G VS set into 14K yellow gold jackets.

I'm sorry you had to wait GIAGirl.  It has really been ridiculous here this evening.  Even more ridiculous because I sat around all morning waiting for the UPS truck, then as soon as it arrived, the entire day went beserk!

Well, isn't that a Murphy's Law?  I was kidding...but it was true all the same...If those pics had been any longer I would have made myself get up early to see those things before work.  I really felt like I was getting something in the mail as well.   That pendant needed something regal to complete the set.  If you had worn some fake pearl drops from Steinmart, it just would not have been the same.

Steinmart fake pearls... Noooooo that wouldn't have worked, I'm afraid!  Really, it has taken me YEARS to finally get sense enough to know what to do with the pendant.  And the solution was so EASY... just regular ol' studs paired with jackets that are reminiscent of the pendant, but not cookie-cutter the same. The key was matching the yellow gold and matching the color of the center stone in the pendant (K/L). Who knew?  dontknow
