Alright, because I seem to be headed for the dog house AGAIN:

I purchased a pair of Russian cut, 5.2 mm, 1.01 ctw, VS1, L-color diamonds to be set into yellow gold studs.  David used words like, "drop dead gorgeous" and "cut phenominal" to describe them (so, I'm about to burst with anxious aniticpation!). Then, we're making a pair of cluster-style ER jackets, 0.83 ctw, also in yellow gold, to wear with the studs. I plan to wear the studs and jackets with my Great-Grandmother's sunburst pendant that I've posted above (the center stone is K/L color).

I've had the pendant for years, but I've never had the "right" ERs to wear with it.  My small studs are in platinum, and another "ugly" pair of cluster diamond ERs are in white gold, and neither look right.  So, I've FINALLY broken down and had David put together a pair of ERs that I HOPE will do the pendant justice. I've not seen ANY of the stones, not even photos.

OMG... just NOW, as I've been writing this... Marc called.  The ERs are on the way and will be here TOMORROW!  bliss

EEEK!  I am so excited for you!  I can't wait to see what these lovely "L" colored russian cuts are going to look like in yellow gold....and did I hear "Jacket"!!???

They sound incredible... now get that camera working to full capacity!!!!

Trinkette, I KNOW you have your camera fixed by now...there's a WEDDING coming up, for cripes sake, right?  RIGHT?!

These sound amazing - I absolutely love your great grandma's pendant, wow!  Are those old european cuts?  So, Russian cut studs to match, AND jackets?
We need a beautiful bride icon!!!

I'm excited to see how the L color looks with the gold metal. Overall, the antique pendant I'm trying to match is very soft, warm and golden looking... it looks completely out of place with "cold colored" metals and stones. If someone had told me, even a few months ago, that I would have something like these ERs made, I never would have believed it. I was NOT a fan of yellow gold, but the pendant wanted it! And now, I am REALLY eager to see the finished ERs.  I'm thinking the pieces will look like warm, golden sparkle...

We'll see!  Whistle

Hahaha.  Well. I just got an automated phone call from UPS, teling me that an overnight delivery, requiring an adult signature, will be arriving SOMETIME today.  Problem is: 1) WHEN today? And, 2) I am expecting TWO overnight deliveries today... the ERs from Marc and David, and a pair of shoes for my son from Zappos (to wear at the wedding).  Am I waiting here ALL DAY to sign for diamonds or shoes... diamonds or shoes...?  Roll Eyes

Problem is, I've got to turn-out some of my horses from a barn that I lease about 4 miles from home.  It will only take about 35-40 minutes, round trip, but you just KNOW that when I go the Brown Truck will show up here!  BangHead

I know in the past, I could put a note on my door that had my signature for the UPS guy.    Yeap, the minute you go to tend to the horses... he will show up!!   Angry

OK, I'm going to the barn. Hopefully, I won't run into a problem at the barn (I'll leave the stalls dirty, BAD GIRL!), the UPS guy won't show up (if he does, the dogs are inside and the note is posted) and our dear Dealer David won't post more new diamonds on the HAUL thread before I return.

Here I GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...  Exit-Stage-Right

DANG! I'm GOOD! (Or BAD?) Eight minutes to drive to the barn.  Twelve minutes to turn-out 8 horses and ponies AND clean one stall (it is one of several stalls that I open to outside during the day and the group uses it for water and shelter, and what was "already there" would just get mushed into a messy pulp had I not cleaned). Eight minutes returning home, while chatting with fiancé on the phone.

I'm SAFE.  No delivery yet.  faintthud

Hey, Mrs. M, I did 8 turnouts AND 1 stall! Remember, in days past, I've had to turnout and care for 50 horses in a day.  Believe me, I've got the process DOWN!  Evil (Also, I just did stalls last eve, the one I cleaned today was pretty easy this early in the day). My fiancé is always chiding me when he's with me in the barn... says I race around like I'm on fire. My son is the same way, we're always going full blast, crashing into things. Although, I must say, this was a record breaking time to-and-from the barn.  I'll have to try it again WITHOUT adding the extra stall work.

Hummm, guess I'll have to order ANOTHER DBL piece to see if I can speed up my time...  Grin

BR, I don't have the tracking info.  If it gets late into the day, I'll call David and Marc.  USUALLY deliveries don't happen here until afternoon.  Woops... I see it IS afternoon already!  Whistle
