Thank you so much everyone!

Four days ...am I an old married man yet?

Honeymoon: we spent a few more nights at the Cape- including one night in the most beautiful B&B right on the beach...


Then Friday we visited with friends who have a camper- in Northwestern Connecticut.
They wanted us to sleep in the camper, but my bride simply fell in love with the idea of spendng in the tent outside the camper.

About 2am, the rains started- and lasted all night.
This did nothing to dampen our spirits.....We had a BLAST!!!

Thank you to everyone or the well wishes!

More on that wedding ring story:
we had discussed a wedding bands for me, but this was kind of spur of the moment.  So, nothing was done about the band.  We needed to present each other with a ring during a ceremony.

Seeing as how I'm the only one of my relatives with hands like a gorilla, none of the other guy's bands would fit me.
Off to the mall we went.  Funny thing, it has been a few years since I've been in a jewelry store.  Of course I've been in thousands of jewelry stores in my life.  It didn't take long-maybe 10 seconds that I realized that the likelihood of finding a ring in my size was miniscule..
Still, we went to all the jewelry stores (3) in the mall.  We also went to Macy's, where we found our solution.
Did they have a man's ring in size 14.5?  Of course not.

Here's how it looked:


Of course, if you look at the palm side of my hand, you'd have seen this.



Yes, a hoop earring.

of course I have ordered a nice 18karat yellow gold one!
It's comfort fit, and not too wide- I like it narrow for comfort.

A second wedding announcement...
On Sunday August 3 my bride and I re-newed our vows, in a more "Official" manner.
In case NYState did not recognize the cerimony we had, we got married a second time in New York City.

We are both grateful for all the lovely well wishes!

BTW.....well, we finaly got my "replacement" band...
It's size....ready for this? Size 14.5!

I'll post a few photos of it later.
We'll put the hoop earrings on eBay for sale.....
NO NO NO I was kidding!!
We'll treausure those hoops forever.
