I admit it, T.  I'm hooked.  Working with David and playing with the crew here is just flat addictive, not to mention fun.  Does this give you a hint of what is to come?

it's just a thought I'm kicking around.     I fell in love with Awestruck's constellation bangle, and I've got to do something with 2KJ.  I think she'd be a great 'center of the universe' set east-west.  Sprinkle in a few other diamonds of various colors and sizes, and form a spiral with melees of different colors and it might be cool.  Or not.  It would have to be 1.5-2 inches wide to really keep the spiral effect defined and not let the 2KJ overpower the piece.  I also want to see OMC's project with that mokume gane pendant, as well.  I think that would be a beautiful way to enhance the melees and the spiralling effect of the galaxy.  Your opinion would be very welcome, by the way. 

So it's a long ways off in terms of execution. It takes me a while to collect enough $$ to buy even little bitty diamonds.  Meanwhile, we're working on my step-daughter's engagement ring.  She fell in lurv with R1805, and I wanted to see if D could make a similar one with the half carat RBC her Dad gave me for our first anniversary.  BUT...Given the cut of that diamond, it would be ok as a solitaire, but not as pretty a 3 stone ring.  So I'm just not telling her that it isn't her Dad's diamond, and going to give her the real R1805 in a couple of weeks.  She just got her ring sizers today and will be calling David this evening to finalize the size.  She won't know the difference, thankfully, and can be a happy girl with a beautiful ring and only a slightly false sense of multigenerational jewels.   

And I'd have to ditto that.....

I can't recall any time in the past 20 years when I've had such fun working on a project, let alone wind up with such spectacular results.  And yes, Annie, it's quite a distraction.  

And Geena, I don't drive very often anymore.  DH generally takes my car to work and I HATE driving his car.  So, if I can't walk or bike there, I don't go.  (Actually  his car is an ultra sleek, late model, silver Supra; so it's gorgeous.  I just hate getting in  and out of it   and being lower to the ground than 90% of the other cars on the road.  We're forever getting almost run over by minivans who either can't see us in their side mirrors, or don't bother to look.  Besides, I'm scared to death it'll get dinged at the grocery store.   )

Last gush!  I promise!    I just noticed that Pink's eyes are the same sort of blue as BLOOO.
