Yeah, now I'm full of big talk about handing it over to her - when the time comes, Joia is going to help me out, lest I 'forget.' Grin

I like the idea of collecting another suite for a second baby. I particularly love the riviera necklace, so that would be a good start. Takes such a long time to have a baby - should I just start collecting that second set in the meantime?

AHHHH, the Riveria necklace!  How on earth is that still there, and why oh why did I forget to try it on when I was in NYC??

Isn't it gorgeous? Now picture it with a great big pear cut ruby or sapphire in a halo as an enhancer. Fit for royalty. Now that I think about it, I want that so badly it hurts. I think that will have to be my next major splurge, so I need a significant special occassion.  Grin

Nice. I like your thinking. Sadly, it will be a long time before I get to accessorize to that extent. Unless I sell a kidney and I know deep down that isn't a good idea...

Interestingly, DH is managing to keep a lid on his enthusiasm, but I'm sure he's thrilled too, deep down.

I love this comment!  I'm going to have to tuck that little gem away for future use!

Hi All!

Yes, We're also excited about this ring.
We've picked 5 amazing stones, with a total weight of 2.45carats....

Oh, oh, oh! You have the stones already! Now I'm REALLY excited!  Grin  Is there any chance of a little photo? Don't worry if you don't have time, because they'll still look amazing when I get the ring and see them in real life, but I'm aching to see them!

Well, you wouldn't be envious if you were doing what I'm about to do!

I now have to sit the exam I missed while I was in hospital. I sort of maybe should have mentioned that I get this ring as a combined maternity gift and graduation present. It was supposed to be my motivation for studying. We went for the 2.45ct rather than the 1.25 on that basis.

I don't get to wear it until I pass this exam, so please keep your fingers crossed that I know more about forensic medicine than I think! Grin

Am clutching at straws - a small fire in the exam hall maybe? A lightning bolt?  Grin

Dear Jen -

Good luck on the exam!   cross   Forensic medicine actually sounds kind of interesting!  Surely you'll pass the exam with flying colors.  I'm sure this was discussed before and I missed it, but is this a medical degree that you are seeking?

Best,
Mikla

I would wish you the best of luck, but with that fabulous brain of yours I am sure you won't need it!!!  Cannot wait to hear!  When do you get notice that you've passed?

Thanks for the good luck wishes!

Yes, it's a law degree. Forensic medicine was one of the subjects I picked to make up my credits in criminal law related subjects. I decided a while back to have a career change and become a lawyer, so I had to make up some extra classes in certain areas to qualify for entry to the diploma in legal practice. It's been a long, tortuous route and I'm sooooooo glad this part is over!

I think I got through it.

I have had to take 4 state exams for my teaching license, I know how you feel with the high pressure tests!  I'm sure you did well and you do have diamonds to ease your suffering (as well as that gorgeous baby girl!)
