Our local delivery guys for UPS are not the best so I am sitting in my front room by the front window waiting for them to come.  They usually show up between 9:30 and 10:30 but as late as 11am.  So in order to make sure the guy rings the doorbell or the gal delivers it to our house and not the one across the street I wait... and wait...

I've been on the search for a RHR for a while.  I came really close once to picking something only to realize it wasn't the right ring to symbolize my son or our family.  Then I went to NYC for a few days.

The rest is all Sherylsbuys fault Wink

She had lovely list created of things she wanted to see.  A pretty little pink flower ring was among them.  I put it on and really it must have stayed on my hand for the rest of the afternoon.  I asked my husband what he thought and the reaction from the house was a little lack luster... my heart sank Sad

I got home and showed the photos to my son and he said he loves pretty flowers and I needed a pink flower.  Of course he wanted me to get the "Uber" flower but this was his next favorite.  My husband apologized for his initial response and then we just talked about when to get it.

I decided I couldn't wait Grin

I watch a lot of  "Say Yes to the Dress"  and the ladies are forever telling their clients to try things on they thought they wouldn't like.  I've never been in love with round brilliants (save older cuts) and pink is a color I usually avoid.  This ring has them both.

Something about it together is just perfection.

So always try them on even if you aren't sure.  You never know what you will love - and sometimes what you thought you would love isn't always your favorite (in my case a three stone ring isn't "me")

Oh my goodness the brown truck is here... be back soon with more photos Smiley

The sun is finally coming in through the windows of my house so I will try for good photos right now.  I really couldn't get any before now due to weird shadows.  Old homes don't have good lighting Wink

You know this one is really different for me.  I had her on my hand for so long at DBL that I really did get to know her well.  Only negative was that she didn't fit well so I had to be careful.  Now she's snug and secure feeling - doesn't move much as I went with my real actual size not the 1/4 to 1/2 size up I usually do since the shank isn't very big.

So comfortable still to wear and so sparkly.  I think it is the perfect shade of pink for me.  Obviously pink but a bit more subtle.  At times I swear there is a hint of lavendar as well.  I took my UV pen out to see and I would have guessed stronger fluor than faint so maybe that's why I see some purple?

Anyway my son and I are both thrilled and he tried to get his paws all over it.  I can't wait until he goes to sleep so I can just admire it in peace LOL

We are going to run and get lunch.  He just asked for bagels from our favorite bagel shop so we will... I'll be back soon with photos... sorry to make you all wait.

I feel your pain, Debangel.  I haven't even seen a REAL bagel in three years!  We won't even talk about lox spread.

But Squigs.   A pink?!  Flower???  I can't wait to see her on your hand!  How absolutely wonderful!  So happy for you! 379

All right.  Chop, chop!  Let's get moving here.  Let's get priorities straight.

It has been over a half hour since you left for lunch.  Pleee--ee-eee-eenty of time to snarf a bagel.  Enough, already, thou thoughtless hedgehog!  Time for hand shots!!!

You know what? I'd really like to see a photograph...

Seriously, I got a sneak preview via skype - when the gang was all in the DBL office, Clgwli was wearing this ring and I love how it looks on her.

Yep bagels were good... munching on a home made peanut butter cookie now too Grin

We are lucky to have an assortment of delis around here and bagel shops too.  Dare I say my favorite bagel w/in a few miles of my house is a chain store? (Bruegger's).  We were lucky to have them freshly baked too.

I am sorting and uploading photos now.  The lighting isn't the best but this ring is even more lovely than I remember it being.

For those who don't know I had been looking for a "mother's ring" of sorts.  My son loves pink and rose gold was always big on the list for me.  Partially because we call him "copper top" and there is usually copper in rose gold.

He wanted hearts - I'm not huge into them.  Then he said he wanted a flower so I was good with that idea for sure.  Initially when he saw this ring he said to my husband that it wasn't a heart.  So when we got home we looked at hearts and flower rings.  He decided giving a flower to me was what he wanted.

Since he loves pink sparklies this was a great fit.  We looked through everything and every time he saw pink he loved it.  He said no thanks to the blue (which would be more "fitting" for a boy) so this was the winner.

So here are some photos.  The lighting isn't great but these were the ones I could get w/o shadows everywhere

We can't leave out Sunny either

Finally on my son's finger

LOL I didn't even notice about the finger nails... they are pretty close.  I'm not really into "bubble gum pink" or "barbie pink" so the softer shades are really great IMO.  It is absolutely the right shade to wear daily for me Grin

My son loves it.  He called it Mickey Pinky.  Why?  Well if you look at the ring you can kind of see "Mickey Mouse Heads" in it.  So in his eyes it is full of "hidden Mickeys"  He's so cute with things like that.

YES!!! This is what we're talking about when we say pink!

What a gorgeous stone, and the ring is stunning. It's quite substantial, while still being delicate, but when you see it next to your yellow, it can hold its own in terms of size and presence.

I absolutely love it, and it was a fantastic choice. Looks wonderful on your hand.

You hit on everything I like about this ring.  Substantial while still being delicate and very feminine.  I was quite shocked comparing the finger coverage when I did in NYC.  Each stands out on their own and won't blend away.

I have to say thank you for talking me into getting it when I did.  I know I would have been very sad had it sold.

I really like that my son loves it... though I think he loves it a little too much.  He keeps asking to wear it Grin

Congrats, Squigs!  It's beautiful on you.
BTW, what brand and color of nail polish is that?  It's a perfect pink.

Congrats, Squigs!  It's beautiful on you.

It's an OPI color from last year that was a limited edition Pink of Hearts 2010 - they do a breast cancer one every year and this year was a shatter.  I'm going out tomorrow and if I see a color like it I'll let you know.  It is the perfect color I think and it has a hint of shimmer which I like.  It's not totally opaque either which I like as well.

The pink diamond is a bit more pink than the nail polish and we still love it.  My husband was late coming home and he really loved it in person too.  Quite the good distraction today given it was a long day at home with the husband gone nearly all day Smiley
