She is insanely beautiful!

I knew from the photoshop that it was a good route to go down, but I am actually surprised at just exactly HOW GORGEOUS it came out.

I love it, and have to say it exceeded my (high) expectations.

Can't wait to see her back on your hand, I'm excited for you too!

The previous setting was OK, but this makes it into a Ring!

Congratulations, and wear it in good health for a long long time to come!

I agree... this new setting is a marvelous improvement. The double bezel beautifully balances the visual weight of the band AND makes the diamond much more important. It looks very rich and authoritative. Actually, the overall look kind of reminds me of "transitional" design style – classic and contemporary at the same time; suitable for anyone, any time, any place. Well done... There should be more of these!

Beautiful, Squigs.  I was looking at a different thread and though your Avatar was different.  Now, I see I was correct.  When is it due to arrive?  You know the routine, right? HANDSHOTS.

Sorry I posted and ran.  I was on a mission to find some shoes this morning for our Easter Vigil service I am singing for tonight.  I had ordered some online and they were duds... so I'm back with a lovely pair of beige patent sandals (for the shoe people here I found a great price on a pair of Via Spiga heels)

I love how this ring turned out.  It has everything I wanted in a ring.

Jen you are so very right, I am shocked with how lovely the bezel turned out.  It's like liquid gold.  So stunning!

Carol, I agree she looks great in the new setting.  I was shocked how yellow she looks even compared to photos I have.

OMC the original ring was very much temporary.  I mean it is fine, but I knew it wasn't my "forever ring"  I just wanted the stone set so I could wear it.  So I totally agree that it is a RING now and not just a lovely stone set.

Lovecolor, I love what you just said.  She is positively radiant isn't she?

Trink I think you nailed my style which is why I am thrilled with the ring.  I used almost the exact description you had when I was looking for shoes this morning.  I don't like super trendy but I like looking modern and classic.  This ring suits my personality perfectly I think.

I agree we need more like this Wink

DAF I changed my avatar last night but got too lazy to do the thread.  I probably should have said something, but I went to bed early since we've had a ton of storms lately keeping us up at night.

Thank you too Sanchica, I am in love.

I am not 100% sure when she is due to arrive.  I got the e-mail from David as he was leaving for the night.  I hope that mid week I will have it.  I'm sure we'll talk on Monday about when it can be shipped.

Obviously you guys will see hand shots whenever she comes!

I should know better than that Trink.  People catch everything here Wink

DJ, I keep looking at it does look huge doesn't it?  I bet it's going to be ever so slightly overwhelming to me at first, but in a very good way!

This is a design that allowed for the sort of halo look without the diamonds.  My husband hates halos with a passion and since this is a ring for "us" I listened.

I look at this thread just to see the photos.  I want her like yesterday already Grin  Hopefully we can work the shipping for this week.  A lot is going on for us right now making life a bit hectic.  If not, not a big deal, but I'd love to see her sparkle in Florida Grin

Congrats sqiggy- I love the ring too.
It really feels nice!

I agree that it does give the stone more....presence overall.
It's almost like a .....mock halo.
Because there's light play on the ridges of metal-

Also a great design for bezel- as it allows a great deal of light to enter the pavilion.
And allows for a flush fit with a wedding band

Great design...who's idea was this anyway sultan

We're going to offer this as a semi mount. Starts at $1195.

My finger is almost literally itching for her Wink

I can't wait.  I have the e-mail on my cell phone still and I open it up now and then just to look at her.  I'd drive right over today to get the ring if I could!!

Jen has to take credit for some of the thought that went into this.  Her bezel talk got me thinking.  My photoshop was nothing compared to the end result.  Hats off to the factory who excuted this so well.

Obviously biased but I could see quite a few people getting into this type of a setting.  Like you said a "mock halo" of sorts with a great price too!!!  I can't wait to see how it looks on my hand.  I bet the finger covereage will be amazing.

Now when our plumber comes tomorrow to replace out hot water heater that's leaking badly (better now than worry about it completely failing and dumping 40 gallons of water in our basement on vacation though) I'll have a sunny happy thought to look forward to!

Rude water heater!  He should know better than to break while we are waiting on sparklies.  That is just RUDE.

Well the rude water heater was even more rude.  There is asbestos attached to the vent pipe.  So the water heater has to remain while we get a new one installed.  It will just be empty until we can have asbestos removal people come in.  We decided to go for a tank-less option since it will take up less space and cause us to move less in our basement.

The rings have been shipped.  Oh did I say ringS?  Why yes I did...

I can't wait either.  It was a very stressful day at home with the water heater crap.  I have a lot to get done and my whole week is now kind of messed up in a way.  I volunteer at my church and now I think I have to do it during evenings when I hoped to finish packing because the days I get free babysitting are kind of screwed up now.

but we'll make it work and if I really get held up the head music guy will understand and will do it without me or say do what I can and the rest will suffer LOL

So whatcha think?  While it isn't what I was orignally going to go for, I personally think it was fate and I couldn't stop looking as soon as I saw the two paired.  Lots of shinies for our vacation LOL  I think I am actually going to scrap my original idea and add different types of stackers later.

I recently had plumbing issues in our house, glad that's over with!  We had to take care of a few things like not having hot water and other toilet problems I don't want to think about anymore... EMOAYtextmoan

As for your rings,  I don't know what you had in mind...but they look BEAUTIFUL together!   love10   I love how the white diamonds in your anniversary band contrasts with your Yellow diamond, adding even more fireworks to your hand.  They "stack" up very nicely!    Enjoy them and wear them in Good Health!

I've been talking about stacking too.  I can't wait to save up a little more money to bezel a little white diamond I've been eyeing on the DBL website.  I'm thinking about using it to stack with my new yellow bezel ring.   Evil

By themselves, I think yellow diamonds are beautiful in a "happy sparkly" way...but when white diamonds are sitting next to them, the yellow color really shouts out:  Wave  (HELLO) ! And together, they remind me of a white toothy smile beaming rays of sunshine at you!   icon_sunny smarty  (I'm still not able to stop smiling a "crazy" little smile at the site of my new little yellow friend)     drunken_smilie

Anyway, I'm so glad your rings are on their way back home to you... smileyparty

(And Squiggly, it's not the white diamond that you fell in love with that I'm making plans for.)  in case you were wondering...  Wink

I LOVE the ring and combination, Squigs.  I didn't realize that the bezel was tiered until the close-up picture, making the diamond stand out more. Nice effect.

I think they look perfect together. I can't imagine a better combination. If you're still going for a plain band for low-bling days, I don't think you could beat it!

The shared prong band is beautifully done- every bit at high end as the ring itself, so they look awesome as a pair. Now, picture it with a yellow stacker in the same style.... (who needs hot water?)  Evil

We have a tankless heater, btw. It's fantastic. Instant hot water, no limit to the amount you use, and much more cost effective. I would always go for that now.
