My new stone is in her temporary setting! Major  heart2 for the local guy and his lovely wife because he got it at 1pm and had it set and re-rhodiumed for me in just a few short hours.

I CANNOT wait to get more pictures of her. Setting her made SO much of a difference! Her yellow tint definitely shows up since the setting is so white. I mentioned not knowing if she had fire - oh yessirree she DOES! Mr. Jeweler turned on his super bright overhead lamps so I was able to twist and turn her to my hearts (initial) content. Sparkly AND fiery! I am in love! Not to mention slightly terrified to wear her except for special occasions.

I'm off to start dinner for our incoming guests but I just couldn't wait to post that she's set and so lovely!

This is my largest and prettiest diamond to date so please, excuse the (excessive) squealing and giddiness from this corner. I'm just so, so excited, pleased, and thrilled.

I now have a HUGE appreciation for just how much work goes into the DBL images.

My in-laws are in town tonight to celebrate my second to youngest sister-in-law's 21st birthday so we took them out to dinner while she finished up something with her friends. Needless to say, dim lighting + an OEC/transitional = awesome fire and glitter.

Attempting to be unobtrusive, I was able to snap a shot while we were waiting for our table. Then while we were getting our coats and things together after the meal, I attempted a video and a couple more shots. None of her fire was picked up by the camera. I caught a single flash of green in one picture, one blue in another, and a purple in a third. All accompanied by a red reflection down the center from the lamp at our table.

I'll clear a space on my husbands' work desk for my new portable light box and try that either tomorrow or this weekend.

Glamour shots!

While we were at it, we decided to take a few pictures of the other girls so no one would feel left out.

My honey is so funny. He insisted we get shots of Jolly's backside. Normally I'm opposed but for the sake of glamour...

We need to work on the group shots a little bit. No one really wanted to pose.

We did have a bit of excitement; my original wedding set snuck in through the back door.

Then everyone had to line up.

In order of age that is: Original wedding set, my OEC wedding ring, my lovely N.

In this picture you can see how the clarity gets better as the years go by. I think my N's feather is visible in this picture.

I am starting to think there is something wrong with my eyes because what I see on my hand is not what I see on the screen when it comes to my N. My pictures are just so lifeless - I haven't yet broken the code of how David can seem to get his stones' personality through the camera.

I think it has to do with David's personality.  I think he's a camera-whisperer as well as a jeweller-extraordinaire.    I think all the girls posed well.

Your new baby is gorgeous, dovesgate.
