I saw someone mention rose cuts in another thread and how they are making a comeback.  I LOVE rose cuts!  I remember seeing one about 8 or 9 years ago, a big rose cut pear in a black rhoduim plated setting with a rose cut halo and I thought it was the coolest thing!

I really wish more places would carry them!  As it stands I do own one piece of rose cut jewelry.  It's a five stone ring with 2 rose cut diamonds and three rose cut amethysts.  All of the stones are .15pts but look like .30pts bc of the rose cut.  They are def understated but gorgeous.  I love it when they are mixed with brilliant cuts.

I never took any of my own pics but I will try this weekend!

Please feel free to share any of your own rose cut jewelry or some pieces you would love to own!

I love this ring!  Where did you get this?  I saw some on some old pieces that family owned years ago and I loved them then and still do now.  I particularly like them bezeled like this or like Mrs M's pear necklace.

I got it from some lovely ladies out in California who specialize in mostly antique or antique replica items.  The ring was made for me, took about 6 weeks from what I recall, most of the wait was waiting for the stones to be cut!

Oh, that turned out very prettily, Sanchica.  I do like the combination of stones as well, too.  I've always liked amethysts, especially with diamonds  Never considered rose cuts, but the result is lovely.

Thanks everyone!  I don't wear it nearly enough because I'm always wearing my wedding set but it is lovely.  I have some amethyst earrings in a checker type cut that coordinate nicely.  I'll be done with work for the summer in a few weeks and I hope to take and post some updated collection photos soon.
