I neglected to do a reveal!  The results of our visit to see David back, yes it has been this long, in November. Hubby was finally convinced to get a "real" wedding ring.  Unfortunately my pics do show how hard he is on rings, it used to be highly polished.

Let me upload....

Ah, another reveal.  Nice prop, great view.  I think I see my house.  Just kidding.  I'm 55 miles from NYC.

It looks fantastic. I really love that style of band. I know they look very masculine, but I'd love one for myself. I may order one for DH, then 'help' him wear it... Grin

I hopr you DH enjoys it and wears it in good health.

Thanks!  It is a version of the pipe ring, 7mm wide and quite solid. DH really likes it, especially telling the story of how we got the stone.

We stayed at the Hilton in Manhatten- on 6 Ave.  Looking the other direction, we could see the clock at Times Square.  The view straight ahead was office tower.

I wish I had taken a shot from the lounge on the 42nd floor.  You could look up the street and see the edge of Central Park.  Doesn't sound like much but it was really quite an amazing view.

That sounds lovely where you stayed.  I'll have to check out the Hilton tomorrow and see what it is like.  I have a list of hotels I am accumulating just in case I can swing a trip to NYC.

Location was excellent, we walked everywhere.  3 blocks from Central Park, 5 or 6 to Broadway and Times Square, a couple blocks from Madison Ave, Rockefeller....   We only had 3 days, so focused on staying central.  Just by walking, I think we saw all the major sights in the area without even trying. Bring good shoes and take the bike trolly when dressed for the evening.
