Which do I like?

YES!  How is anyone supposed to pick one from those? They each have their own specialness, geez.

If I were FORCED to rank them though, I think I'd pick:
1. oval brown
2. round OP
3 K cushion

What ARE you going to do with these, T?!

Funny - I came up with the same forced ranking myself.

And with the same question - each one is big enough to be a centre stone or a pendant or...

Here's an interesting shot that David took of my three little DBL diamonds (I've still never laid eyes on any... they wait patiently for me in NYC).  Which do YOU like... the 1.01 L Faint Brown VS1 oval; the 1.17 O-P VVS2 round; or the .90 K VVS2 cushion?

I'm a sucker for the light brown oval!

I'm thinking two colored-stone three-stone rings and one halo ring. All the shanks will be in platinum. I'm pretty sure that I've got the details worked out in my head about the two three-stones (and I may actually have the sides here at home); the halo will probably be the last one done.  But, apparently, I'm still in "acqusition" mode (which is interesting becasue I have no money left in the piggy bank right now).  For reasons that completely elude me, I seem to feel no urge to put them together immediately... perhaps it is because if I do, then, for sure my sparkly collecting will come to a halt for a LONG time.  I'm not sure I could survive that!  I'm sick. I need an intervention.

I have nothing to share. Sorry! My baby made a huge hole in my savings and I don't work now, so nothing sparkly for me this year!

Jen

EX-CUUUSE me- but Amelia is one of the most amazing gems posted on this site....ever!!!

Awww, thank you David!

There are some amazing new sparklies here- Trinkette, I especially love your group shot, these are gorgeous stones. IHADP, that's a gorgeous OEC. Lovely (and I WANT one!)

I don't think I really can hold out till next year to get something new. I'm so sad I missed that yellow EC, it really spoke to me. This thread is killing me, I'm itching for something shiny! Grin

Wow T! Awesome diamonds!  I do love the oval too, but that RB is a stunner! How fabulous for you!

IHADP, that swirl ring is fantastic!

...and with the extraordinary participation of DD (well, her hand)...

not entirely sure if the rings qualify as highly original or just about fugly, but beauty is in the hand of the beholder, and nothing a 4 year old does can be qualified as ugly.

More on the pieces in the Coyote's den thread in a few minutes

Well..I just purchased this today. I will post hand pics once it arrives in about 7-10 days! It's for my right hand, and the sapphire represent my boys, and will be my Birthday gift from them! I also just had my diamond reset a few days ago, and I kind of consider that a new piece as well!

I'll save you GL!!!!

Here you go ladies and gents .......... some of my latest purchases:-

Sapphire & diamond ring - I can't capture quite how beautiful this sapphire is.  It literally glows blue and is stunning.  The sapphire is 1.43ct with .46ct diamonds VSI-SI1, F/G colour:

Brown Diamond - this was inspired by DJ's stunning asscher brown.  This is nowhere near that league but it's a 1ct pear and very pretty (apart from the setting which is too chunky and the result of the jeweller not understanding what I wanted  Sad)

Lastly, I've wanted an Asscher for ages and got the opportunity to buy this ring.  It's 1.01ct, I/J in colour with .44tctw side Tapezoids.  Again, the setting is awful - the gaps between the diamonds will drive me bonkers and the quality is nowhere near David's rings - BUT it's wearable, sparkly and it's a diamond!!!

Blurry handshot (sorry!)
