I forgot too also add that I love the OMC ring, what craftmanship on those ruby/sapphires and the design!  Yes on the hand shots(also that lovely kunzite ring).

It's been stormy here a lot lately-- although the tornados have missed my little spot in Kansas so far, knock knock. We've had more tornado watches than I can count, and more than one warning as well. That's the Kansas spring/summer for ya though.

OMC likes the OMC ring too! And the deep brown earrings, and the other brown (pinkish brown?) earrings, and... oh well, never mind.

Thanks so much you guys. Well, obviously I didn't get to hand shots. Some unexpected stuff came up that  swallowed up my time. A close friend of mine passed away suddenly and I'm helping take care of details. Tough stuff. I had to call her mom and tell her. Sorry to throw a damper on the forum - just had to get that out. I'm reminded yet again how short this life can be - hug your loved ones today and tell them you care.

Oh IHADP.  I am so sorry to hear about your friend.  I am amazed you made it onto the forum at all.  If there's anything I can do, please just let me know.  You are right, it's times like these that you re-evaluate everything and life is indeed too short.  *hugs* to you and I'll include her family in my prayers.

IHADP,
Please accept all my heartfelt love and sympathies for your loss.  I am so sorry.  And, for you to have to call her mother... OH... how terribly difficult. So, sad. You are a dear friend.

We're here ready to distract you with sparklies and silliness when you're ready.  Meanwhile, I'm sending you hugs and loads of be-strong, feel-better wishes.

Kindest Regards-

IHADP I know what you are going though. I hope and pray things go well for you. Yesterday we just found out my B/F's dad has Lou Gehrig's disease. It's gonna be a tough road ahead. He and I have always been close. Good luck.

I swear you all are just the BEST!!  Thank you so much for all your kind sentiments and prayers, it really does help so much. I feel so fortunate to be part of this community. The warmth and fun of the people here are awesome - You all are truly special in my life.

Khrystal, so very sorry about your guy's father, that is so sad. Your b/f is going to need your love and support now more than ever; please take good care of you.

It's times just like these that I always get the most out of not just the huge blessings that surround me as my friends and I have closed ranks to carry each other through losing one of our own, but I also SO appreciate the very simplest of pleasures, know what I mean?
Like the wonderful sushi dish like I had for dinner with those good friends. My kitties greeting me at my door when I arrive home. Clean sheets on my bed.  A day at work where I know my rotational student learned some good stuff from me.  My favorite blanket. A fun thread on a diamond board full of crazy diamondaholics!

Isn't it so odd how life can be painful, yet so very wonderful at the exact same moment?

Khrystal, I'm sorry to hear your news. For sure, Lou Gehrig's is not an easy road to travel.  Please accept all my love and hope for you and your BF's dad on your journey ahead.

IHADP, your post reminds me: we have only today.  LIVE for now... you never know what tomorrow, or even the next moment. may bring. And, it IS the little things that count.

Oh, IHADP, I am sooo sorry to hear about your friend.  So sorry.

Your new ring is absolutely gorgeous, though.  A gorgeous stone in an unusual, special setting.

I love OECs.  At my scrapbooking convention thing this weekend, a number of the women had stunning, large rings.  One woman had a beautiful large (~3 ct.?) round in an antique setting as a RHR.  I said, "oooh, is that an OEC?"  She looked at me rather strangely as she confirmed that, yes, it was.  I guess not many people know to ask that  Smiley.

Well done Robin - I can just imagine her look: somewhere between 'OMG how did you know that?' and 'Damn let me move away from this woman who looks sweet but is probably about to mug me'.  Grin

I have to say, people can be weird when you compliment their jewelry.........hmmmm, there's a thread right there!  Off to start it!

And FTR, a big white OMC is in my future.......maybe 20 years in my future but still!

Ok - sorry it took so long for me to get back to post more pics here.

David is killing me with all his new lovelies, just when I've blown the money bank (again), DANG IT.

Is anyone else lusting terribly after those asscher earrings with the adorable rectangular culet? The ones on this thread http://rockdiamond.c...p;action=show_detail.
