I was playing with my camera and DBL goodies the other day and trying to get everyone to smile prettily for the camera. ChiChi was being modest and letting others have the spotlight, but these are some pretty cool pics I thought I'd share.

Thanks djm, thanks DJ!  This is an antique mirror, and it is really interesting to me what it does with the reflections.

I also have to tell you that when I saw the title of this thread, for a second I thought this was DJM posting his poll!  Yes, in the 'Show off your Jewels' section!  ROFL!

I'm not the one in a grass skirt and coconut bra on the other thread so don't talk to me about my 'madness'.

Sorry, IHADP.  Let me move him along for you.

Ok, debuting my newest showstopper.

I've been on a hunt for the perfect old european cut diamond ring for ages.  I think I actually found her!  Perfect for me, anyway.  The cut is amazing, sparkles like MAD. The color of the rubies is divine, blood red. I adore the swirl design and elaborate engraving characteristic of the era. It's from the 1910's; from an estate in England. I've even got the original box!

Here's the description:

Magnificent Art Deco Platinum 2.50ct Diamond Sapphire and Ruby Ring
A Magnificent Art Deco Platinum Diamond Sapphire and Ruby Ring. This ring features an Old European cut diamond weighing approx 2.50ct in a slightly raised setting the center, surrounded by calibré cut sapphires and rubies in a swirl design bordered by accent diamonds. The shoulders and mount of the ring are decorated with flowers and scrolls. The center diamond is VS clarity and J color. American ring size 6˝. Approx. diameter across the top of the ring is 17mm.

Oh now that is really cool.  The colors are really patriotic too - gotta wear that July 4th for sure.  Can we get a handshot?  I bet it's massive!

wow Can I say it again?  wow

I really like the combination of the colors, as well as the fact that it looks like a flower.  woohoo

Nice cut on the center.  Plus, it is pretty patriotic.   icon_salut

Carry on,

I came back for another drool!  Can you imagine the work it would have taken to cut and set all the rubies and sapphires?   notworthy  I really love estate pieces and old cut diamonds.

I think you found a winner there! The undercarriage is a work of art as well.

What a fantastic photo shoot IHADP!  ChiChi really seems to be quite at home!

I really love the estate piece.  Those old cuts get me every time, and the design on this one is breathtaking!

Thanks for sharing!
