I thought I should 'fess up and tell you all that I bought some new cushion cut earrings.  I haven't any ear shots 'cus I'm not sure I can take 'em myself.  Here they are!

They ar really cool, very brilliant, diffrent from what I'm used to seeing in other folks' ears, and very antique, all at the same time!  Keepers!! angel

Those are fantastic! I am so happy they went to a member of the family!

Now as for ear shots! If you have a digital camera with the screen on the back. Just go into the bathroom or go outside with a stand up mirror(make-up mirror) use the mirror as your eyes. Center the shot by looking in the mirror at the screen and hopefully you have auto focus and just snap away! or If you have kids that you can torture put them in their ears and take some sun shots! LOL

Oh!  Silly me!  I had to take them to my local jeweler for a back rehab.  They are getting la pousettes.  I wore them to tai kwon do twice and each time I lost an earring.  Yikes!!!  Friction backs can't hold up to my sparring class.  Just lucky My instructor noticed that poor little cushion on the mat.  So, You all will hav to wait.  Maybe I'll finally get to the rest of the earring collection instead!

What is la pousette? I worry about my pear cut dangles, because they catch in my hair sometimes and pull the friction backs off. This could be a way forward?

They are disc shaped backs with a spring loaded design that applies tension round the post to stop them coming off.  They stay on VERY well.  There are usually 2 buttons on the side that you press in to release the tension before sliding them off.

Sounds like they might be worth investigating for my little pears. At some point, I'd like a really big pair of pears on gizmos, so the little guys will become sidestones for something and I want to keep them safe in the meantime. My best friend suggested yesterday that it is possible to buy jewelry then just leave it alone, which got me thinking....  Nah. I'm going for a long term re-set plan on virtually every piece I own.
