I'd be hurt and horrified.  See - totally different views! The moral of the tale is if anyone is thinking of doing this, they need to know absolutely for sure which camp their wife /partner falls into lol. There doesn't seem to be a lot of middle ground.

We don't want to be responsible for the consequences of misjuding that one ever slightly!

Thank you! I had a very good time, the b/f looked over at my ring in the restaurant as he was holding my hand and said "wow look at that thing sparkle." Even in the dark atmosphere of the place, it was amazing. We stuffed ourselves full of lobster and shrimp. Then a bunch of waiters and waitresses came up and did the birthday number. He must've whispered in their ear hee hee. Then we took a drive to a dealership real quick because he wanted to look at this new truck he wanted, (his was kind of biting the biscuits), and they put him into the new one right away. While he was busy doing all of that I just sat there and stared at HOY nearly the whole time...Loved the roses too. It was a fun night. HOY made it all the better! Grin

Thanks everyone! I thought I would post a pic of my little diamond ring collection so far. I do have a couple of bands and a tennis bracelet as well, not to mention my princess cut studs for everyday wear. I am a big ring fan, though. I am considering remounting my trilliant in platinum someday soon.
