Hey carathead - I have a good toe ring experience!  Just after my son was born, I picked up a child's engraved 14k engraved band and had a goldsmith cut it in the back and smooth the edges.  I have worn it ever since (8+ years).  It is extremely comfortable and I never take it off.  I just don't know that it's there but I love seeing it on my toe - very sexy!  It's gone slightly oval shaped over time but that just means it doesn't spin easily now.  I have no complaints!

Always Snooper - it has never pinched.  The only time I ever took it off was when I had some surgery in 2002 and that was because I was forced to.  Other than that, it has been on my toe for over 8 years non stop!
