Okay here are a few hand shots to start with (a few I took in Central Park yesterday)...  While she looks very purple in most of these pics her colour changes all of the time IRL.  For instance now in the house she is looking more of a raspberry hot pink.  On the plane home last night she was flashing colours anywhere from a blue purple to pink to even deep red.  In case it isn't obvious I am in love  Grin

Here are a couple with my light blue sapphire ring I got many years ago while living in Holland so you can get a better idea of the colour

KK your collection is stunning, but I have to say that the DBL Sapphire is by far the most beautiful, followed by the Oval, and then everything else. Oh they are all so very beautiful.  Once again I am glad that you got her she looks lovely on your hand.

WOW!  KK, your collection is amazing!  I love the DBL sapphire; I can't believe how purplish and fiery it is.  Wonderful catch.

Would you mind describing a few of your other rings?  Each is lovely and unique and I'd love to hear more about them.

Thanks!  Foxy I promise that if I ever decide to part with her I will let you know first.

The colour really is amazing.  I love my blue sapphire, but it doesn't have all of the personality that this one has by a long shot!

Mikla I will do my best...

DBL-1.58 Y-Z cushion set between 2 F colour cushions (need to look up their size)
DBL-3.09 S-T emerald cut
DBL- .95 brownish, greenish yellow oval
DBL- .76 K cushion
.67 G-H-I pear (eBay find)
.50 olive green round

As for the others I don't really have specs...

The blue topaz is set in a heavy sterling setting

And both the pearl ring and opal ring were bought from the same person who is based in Austin who handles vintage pieces.  Both are set in 14 K

Wow, what a lovely collection you have there!  I can't decide which one I like best.  Well I love the sapphire, but the cushion is beautiful too.  I am usually  not a huge fan of ovals, but yours is divine!

I'd love to see more of your rings if you want to take more pictures for us  Grin

My, oh my, KK!  What a great collection!  That new sapphire is a wonderful addition to the family.  I can't wait to see more pix when you settle back in at home.   4

I envy you your trip to NYC.  Someday, I hope..... Heart

Beautiful, KK!  It looks like you had a very sparky time in NYC.   laugh  The color of your new sapphire is stunning, and it fits great into your collection.  For some reason, I don't remember the cushion with the sides...  Are there photos of it around here somewhere?

KK, I LOVE your new sapphire ring. It's just perfect.

That particular design is what rings "should" look like, for me. My mother's engagement ring is very similar, only it has a blue sapphire. I loved that ring from about age 2.  Grin

Gorgeous! Congrats on your new sparkly, and you certainly do have a fantastic collection.

Wow! KK, your purple sapphire is so rich in color-love it!

Your collection is awesome!  I was looking at it...(well, I was really drooling over it  drool) in the Forum Photo Gallery.  I would love to see more pictures, particularly the profile of your new cushion in the revised Lucida/diamond studded underwire setting.

Do you still have the 0.95ct FY EC ring and your pear collection?

Thanks everyone!  I am very lucky to have these beauties.

I agree Mrs M about the setting.  It is perfect for the shape of the stone and really sets it off.  I also like how the diamonds are set in the halo they really sparkle!

NYC is one of my favourite places and it was so nice to finally be there for a little while and not have to be working.  I spent both days just out walking and enjoying the city because the weather was beautiful.  Of course I spent lots of time looking at all of the amazing jewelry there too!  Saw some stunning pink and blue diamond earrings in the window at Harry Winston Smiley

I have to admit that out of all of my sparklies the emerald cut is my fav too.  I just love yellow step cuts!  I don't have the .95 EC anymore, but David has it now set between 2 white ECs.  I can't remember the item number off of the top of my head.

Let's see...  I have some older pics of my oval.  She is the original MPD  laugh

I am not a big oval fan, but she won me over.  The funny thing is when David first put pics of her up other people thought she was gorgeous, but she didn't do much for me.  However, she grew on me and now that I have her I just love the way her colour changes.

Annie the 3 stone cushion was actually my first DBL purchase.  I am a total sucker for cushion cuts!

I still have the pear pendant and ring, but I don't have the pear gizmos any longer Sad  At some point I may get David to make me another pair it is just that I found that I didn't wear them as much as I thought that I would.

I will try to get some profile shots of the new little K cushion later today.

And, GL I love the topaz.  I got it second hand and only paid $20 for it!  I was so excited.

Thanks again everyone!

Wow that emerald is lovely!  I really do like it a lot (which is big since usually emeralds aren't too high on my list)

And I can see exactly why that oval drew you in.

You really do have a lovely collection there Smiley
