After seeing David modelling not one but two dainty earrings, we can imagine...

Actually it was David who gave me the inspiration.  A friendīs daughter was having chemo and unfortunately lost her hair, I found this turban thing that was just the "ticket"  and got my husband to model it, very fetching too, with a big diamond brooch at the front.
I was very surprised that he agreed to do it.  LOL.

Mind you David looked fetching too  (hmmmmm).  Then again those gorgeous earrings would look, no,  I had better stop, I have said quite enough.

Joia,
Thanks for the handshot!  Your ring is so neat .. and with a such a history, a 300 year old emerald-wow!  I didn't know emeralds were able to be carved; one would think the emerald would crack and crumble.
Thanks again.

Wow. It's a lot bigger than I thought - and it looks a lot nicer when worn. The gold has a lovely tone, and the carving stands out.

Yes, I was surprised at how much finger real estate it covers, too.  It's a very special piece, Joia.  Enjoy it in good health!

Thanks everyone, I think I was lucky to find this one.  As I said before I thought they only carved emeralds not deemed to be good enough for their (Indian) big pieces, but then thinking again a carved emerald has to be fairly clear of flaws or it would split.   What do you think?

I gave my two daughters some 12mm freshwater pearls I sent for from China, they were sent  2 months ago, spent a nice time at the Customs and then almost by  miracle arrived the 23rd December.   A big sigh of relief from Joia.

Thank you for posting the hand shot!  I agree with OMC, I like it even better when worn, and I liked it pretty gosh darn well to start with!  I love how the colors work together.  Beautiful.
