Anybody remember these ?

Well these little beauties will soon be Dorothy.
Yep a strange name, but this ring was almost a ruby one ..... as in sparkly ruby red shoes from Wizard of Oz sparked off by Big Bro`s thread.
Anyway my ruby ring yearning turned into love at first sight (or should I say heart ?) when I clapped eyes on these 3 stunners.
It`s a bit of an experiment, I`ve never seen a 3 heart ring in the flesh, don`t know if David`s ever made one either but watch this space and I`m sure he`ll post pics as soon as she`s ready.
She`ll probably be one of those rings folks will either love or hate. I already love her and she isn`t even made yet. Those pudgy little yellow hearts remind me of petals from buttercups and all things Summery.

That will be gorgeous. I have seen a three heart ring and I must say that those fat hearts dazzle quite nicely as a trio.

Nice to meet you Dorothy!  I'm sure you're going to make your new Mum very happy indeed.  She's suffering with all the rain here in the UK so you'll be a little ray of welcome sunshine.  Please persuade your Mum that we NEED photos, photos and more photos of you (even if you're tired after your long journey).  A picture of you on your new hand would be good too.  Oh and I'm curious how your side companions are going to look when set, so some special pictures of them would be good!

Crikey sparrow my lack of photography skills is notorious on here lol.
I hang my head in shame that it took me a full year to learn how to post a pic !
Some folks are technically challenged, I`m photography challenged.
Have you seen the TV ad for a camera which bounces when thrown, stands up to being retrieved by a dog, lands in a pile of mud, copes with being washed under a tap etc ?
Well I`m buying one of those because if you`d been a fly on my walls on days when I`ve lost patience because I can`t damned well get a decent pic or get fedup after 5 minutes of trying and have thrown the camera in depair, then you`d understand what a mammoth task you`ve set me !
I`ll be having kittens ...  Undecided

Oh Lynne!  I'm so glad you're having this ring made.  Cheesy

I absolutely loved the cushion with heart sides that sold not so long back, and I'm just dying to see how this one turns out.  I'm sure it's going to be stunning!

Oh, and I'm very glad you're up on your photo skills now.  Hehehe  angel

I know that advert well Lynne, it makes me chuckle every time!

Okey dokey - well, there's only one answer!  We're only a few miles away from each other so I can come up to you armed with my trusty (waterproof, throwproof, rustproof) camera and do the honours for you!  Of course, in return for this HUGE task, I expect to wear Dorothy for a few seconds ........... of course, all in the name of research!

I`ve got a better idea Sparrow. We`ll meet up for an Indian and a couple of glasses of wine at a local watering hole ?
The waiters might throw us some funny looks when we`re seen holding hands whilst photgraphing diamond rings but hey I can handle the gossip if you can ?  Grin

Envy. Need a smilie for envy. Not so much for the ring, but I want a decent curry. (yes, and I'll pull the one with the bells too!)

Oh, ah, nearly forgot - and the hands holding. No rings would fit mine, but it could be nice.

 Grin

Congratulations, and enjoy the photo session

I could just make a green with envy type sort of smilie. Our own brand, so to speak.

Lynne, that's fantastic news! I'm so glad you went for these stones, they had your name written alllll over them!

I'm going to have to hope that David will post a pic of the finished item so we get at least one photo! Grin
Which way round are you going to set the sidestones?

Jen
The yellow hearts will be set the way they`re shown in the photo.
Yes I`m hoping David will have the time to post a pic or maybe a little movie because lots of people have asked me in here and on PM how the sidestones are going to be set, whether they`ll sit close enough to the centre heart, whether the heart shape will be lost and they`ll look like pears etc and wondering what a 3 heart ring will actually look like. Whether it`ll be too much or not enough.
When David first posted the stones, people were divided whether they loved them/hated them as a 3 heart ring etc, some thought the sidestones should be set point outwards/point inwards, at an angle or so on. I think it would be nice for everybody to see if their initial thoughts were right or wrong, just as a point of interest.
She`ll be as much a surprise to me as anybody else but I`ve just followed my gut instinct that in the flesh these 3 hearts would look good together.
