Post 3, 1st pic is my FAV of the pics you sent!! WOW!!! The ring is gorgeous!!!! Definitely an OEC, no way to mistake it from a RB!!!! Congrats on getting that puppy set!!

I have to agree the band that GL wants back (LOL) doesn't work.  Do you find it's sorta hard to find a band for a split shank???

Um........am I allowed to say this?  I don't like split shank styles normally and until you set this, I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about this one...............but I honestly love it.  LCole, that is one stunning, REALLY STUNNING ring.  LOVE IT BIG TIME!  Bravo!!!!!!!  Post as many pics of that darling as you want - I'll be coming back for more repeatedly!

Robin, it is an antique that we purchased from a dealer who sells mainly old stones.

Okay, so you're all going to think I'm absolutely nuts, but I am probably going to take it back to the jeweler Monday and have them adjust it.  I just don't like how the space between the two shanks is not even.  It's hard to see in the pics but as you get closer to the stone, the space gets wider.  I want less of that taper, if that makes any sense!?!?  FI and I are going to talk about it more tonight.  I am sad I will have to be without it again, but it's been so long it'll feel more normal than wearing it!

I don't know LCole I think you should wear it over the weekend and see how you like it! I think this ring is something to get accustomed to wearing. I personally think it looks fabulous but if after the weekend you still feel the same way then do it. But I think you should really give it a chance.

Thanks KK and Luvn.  So, FI came home and we discussed it and it's going in for adjustments next week.  I will post pics when it comes back (including the flower shots).  I know it is such a small thing (moving it together 1 mm) but I know it will make a world of difference to me!

Hopefully it won't take too long to do that LCole!! I'd give them a week TOPS!!! But I think it's good you were able to sleep on it.  I honestly can't see what you're saying from my end, but 1mm now that I've seen 2 vs. 3 mm does make a huge difference.

I would have thought as the split, well... SPLITS it would taper at the ends but I guess not.
