Hi! Okay, so I'm posting a picture of my GORGEOUS Daussi ring my husband bought me when we got engaged (like a year ago now!!) Sadly, she is in need of some TLC, so she's headed back to David soon *sobs*.

I seriously considered the big blue-purple Daussi (the 3ct that looks like a 5ct), but couldn't justify spending that much on a ring I couldn't wear all the time. I still drool over her though! But I think she found a very good home.

This is from our wedding this past June. I paired it with a plain 4mm platinum band. I know that David does some GORGEOUS curved diamond bands, but since I had this big-bad mumba-jumbo ring the first time I got married, complete with huge diamond wedding band, I wanted something different.

Plus I work with my hands (I do specialty cakes & wedding flowers/decor), so, yeah.

The second photograph is another one I took. It's the "jewels" I wore on my wedding day. The earrings are 1cttw set in white gold (I actually traded my wedding band from my first marriage for these! The jeweler got the better end of the deal, but I didn't care!

I also wore a 2cttw white & yellow diamond right-hand ring, although you can't really see it in thie photograph. It's like this wild flower-thing. I LOVE it.

And my pendant is about 1.4cttw. I traded my engagement ring from my first marriage for that one with a friend of mine. My engagament ring makes a beautiful right-hand ring for her, and I have a stunning pendant!

I'm working on pictures of some other stuff I own. I don't have lots of jewelery, only because I sold most of it last summer. I figured it was time to quit collecting stuff I will NEVER EVER wear, and start owning some serious pieces. I'd rather have one or two really nice pieces, than a bunch of random stuff I don't like and/or wear ever.

CHeers!

What a gorgeous picture.  I am sorry your Daussi is heading back.  You will feel naked for a while, but she will be back before you notice.

Ohhhh, this is fun!!!

I did a hand shot of all my rings, I didn't realize I had so many! My favorite pieces are my Daussi (she's just perfect!), then my yellow & white flower ring, and then my blue sapphire.

I picked up the blue sapphire ring at a pawn shop last year for under $200, and the earrings right around $100. I get so many compliments on those! I want to have the ring re-set into a lower setting eventually.

I mainly wear either the sapphire or flower diamond ring on my right hand. The rest of them just sit on my little butterfly dish and collect dust.

Ohhh, my pink shoes. I LOVE them too.

Unfortunatly, they gave me a blister. BAD shoes!

So, they sit in my closet, unworn, but not unloved.

I have a serious shoe problem. In fact, if I didn't like expensive shoes so much, I'd probably have more jewels. But shoes, shoes are just, well....they never let me down!! LOL

Yeah, I'm a nerd. It's fine. (and yes, I take pictures of my shoe collection on a regular basis!!)

Well shame on those shoes.  They are so cute though.  I know it can be hard to find both cute and comfy.  I have a good relationship with my local Nordstrom.  They rock about letting me return shoes that I test at home first.  Saves foot pain or other stuff for me.

I have a bad thing for purses too.  Really have had to curb it all in the last few years.  But I'm dying for some really cute shoes coming up.

Is it bad to admit most of the Nordstrom shoe departments don't stock my favorite shoe designers? *ducks*

I've learned my size, and I buy alot online. I found a source on ebay for designer shoes worn only for photo shoots. $900 shoes for $89, *sighs*

Purses are fun too. But shoes, shoes are way better.

What shoes are you looking at???

Oh wait, this is a jewelery forum. OOPS! =)

One of my favorite brands that aren't designer but still nice is Nina.  Very comfortable shoes at a decent price.

I am not really into designers so much as I am style.

I have a lot of cute open toe shoes I need to replace.  I'm big into heels so it's about who has a comfy heel in a style I like and color.

I don't know if that makes sense with what I try to buy.  I have had no luck with shoes online w/o trying them first.  Though saving *that* much money on a shoe is awesome.

Ohhh, Nina makes comfortable shoes. I trashed the last pair I had, I wore them so much.

Honestly, if you want a super comfortable heel? One of the big designers, they really know how to do it right. I can wear my 5" jimmy choo's 8-10 hours and not have a bloster or foot pain in sight. And thats running all day (I.E. an extra long day at a wedding, toting around cake, flowers, etc)

Saqsay....the bouquet picture I posted is my favorite one I have. I was just playing around with my camera the day after our wedding. DH thought was I NUTS. (of course, he found out about a month later I take pictures of my shoes, so he didn't think it was so nuts anymore)

Objects are so easy to photograph. It's the kids that won't stand still long enough to get a clear shot! =)

I need to try and capture the florescense (sp?) in my daussi. Any recommendation? I have a pretty wicked camera, it's just trying to figure out the lighting situation. Even using my tripod and the little remote button-thingy, I can't get the black light to coo-operate

I'm getting close to wearing out a pair of Ninas I've had for years.  I bought them for a wedding and they are just so sexy cute that I wear them all the time now.

I haven't tried Jimmy Choo's yet.  I have heard they are great but I need to try them on to figure out which size I would need.

As for your Daussi, how strong of fluor do you have?  I was only able to capture some strong blue with the help of a UV pen light.  Here is the thread I made

I LOOOVEE jimmy choo's  but they don't love me.  5" spikes and 55+ yr old knees are not a winning combination, but the styles!  and colors!  I used to haunt his shoe store in Highland Park (in Dallas, TX).  I'd try and try, but never could bring myself to buy - numb knees are not fun.
