Okay, I had thought about getting a DBTY necklace like GL's.  Love that.

But I've also been wanting a solitaire pendant.

So then I had an epiphany.  I could have both, if I got a pear pendant like the one on the DBL site.

So, I'm getting this little guy (little gal??)
http://rockdiamond.c...p;action=show_detail

set in a pear pendant like this
http://rockdiamond.c...p;action=show_detail

So, I'm getting the bezel set round like a DBTY necklace, AND the look of a solitaire.  I THINK it will be a substantial necklace for the $$.

Elizabeth, let me tell you a little bit about yourself.  Your favorite colors this season are pink, robin's egg blue, and chocolate.  At a restaurant, you'll almost always order the salmon, and you LOVE spinach salad.  You like dark chocolate, but prefer white wine, especially chardonnay. You love wearing your favorite jeans with a crisp white blouse or a cashmere sweater. You've decorated your home in a "sophisticated shabby chic" look, with lots of natural materials like cotton and leather, stone and pottery.

Okay, this is me, not you <G>.  Of course, my actual home right now is decorated in a tasteful "post-apocolypse" look because of the flood <LOL>. We may not have identical taste in everything,  but I do think we have identical taste in diamonds :-).  Seriously, my two *favorite* things recently are your EC ring and that cushion in your new pendant.

So are you thinking about having the RB bezel set with a pear below?  What size is the RB?

omg  that is amazing!!!!   My favorite color is pink!  And I just finished ordering ALL the fabrics for our family room!  We are doing the room top to bottom - drapes, chairs and the sofa - and YES it is ALL chocolate and robin's egg blue -lots of textures- beautiful velvet's, silks and linens.  And YES At a restaurant, I almost always order the salmon, and LOVE spinach salad.  I LOVE ANY chocolate BUT LOVE Red wine  Grin Shiraz mostly.   And I do LOVE LOVE LOVE wearing jeans with a crisp white blouse, white t-shirt or a cashmere sweater.
And my biggest love (of course right behind DH) are my 3 babies - ok not real babies but Golden Retriever babies!  And they just received their new collars and leads ...chocolate and robin's egg blue too!

I posted a picture of my RB with my cushion ... it is a little more than 1 carat ... http://coloreddiamon...l/msg21656/#msg21656

I can't wait to see yours!!!!!!!

Pretty fabrics. I love looking at fabrics but don't like picking them out to cover furniture. It's too much of a gamble for me. I'm glad someone is good at it.

robin! A DSA. I LOVE that fat little pear. So cute.

<ROTFLOL>!

I love those collars-- where did you get them?

The RB that David is pairing with my pear  Wink is only .15-.20.  You'd need to ask him about balance-- my concern would be that that's a pretty big RB; if the pear were 1-1.5 ct, how would the proportions look?  (I have trouble visualizing proportion on these things, myself.)

OTOH, that potential problem could be easily solved with the new 3 ct pear David got in recently; have you seen it?  Evil  It's an E/I1, so would be awesome for a pendant, and is a veritable bargain at 21K  Cheesy.

www.upcountryinc.com  A friend of a friend in Providence, RI started this company.  We LOVE these and I have bought these collars for YEARS!!!!  Very high quality.  A lot of our "nicer" doggie stores are carrying these now as well as my vet.  The Christmas collars are GREAT too!

Robin this is sooooo exciting!!!  CH had a pear set like that and I loved it!!  I actually think that down the road I may reset the stones in this necklace, and that is how I would use the center, so you are actually beating me to my dream!!!  Congrats!!!!

Elizabeth, I love those collars!  The must look gorgeous on your doggies golden fur!!  You both have fabulous taste!

Ace, I'm betting it'll be around three weeks-- it'll take me a week or so to get $$ to David, then if it takes another two weeks to manufacture, we're looking at close to the end of the month.

It's gonna be purty :-).

Ooooohh, it's going to be gorgeous. I am partial to a DBL pear myself!

Looking forward to seeing this one - it sounds like the loveliest design.

Congrats!

That will be great Robin!  Can't wait to see it!  It is like my ex-pendant.  And yes, balance is important  My pear was 2 carats and the round was .23ct.  And it was perfect!  Definitely depends on the characteristics of your pear...fat, thin, etc.
