Thanks, T.  Yes, there is no other alternative now and we just hope that in whatever place of consciousness she is (there is no way to know; her eyes are closed and she appears to be sleeping, but we just cannot know) she is ready and comforted knowing we have all been there.

Thank you all again so much for the kind thoughts, words and prayers.  My grandmother passed away last night.  It was a tough night, but today I actually feel much better knowing she has moved on and can have some rest.  She led a long, active, happy life with many loved that ones (and many good diamonds), and I suppose that is all that any of us can ask for in this life.

I am so sorry, GL.  Your grandmother is certainly in a better place.  There's not much I can do but I do have a book recommendation (although chances are high you have already read it).  Pick up a copy of 'Embraced by the Light'.  I just LOVE that book and it has given me a new perspective on many things.

GL, this is one of the toughest things on earth to go through. I'm so sorry for your loss.  

It sounds like it was a peaceful transition for your beloved grandmother with much love and many family members around - another sign of a life very well lived.
My thoughts and prayers continue to reach out to you and your family as you mourn her loss, yet celebrate all that she was and all that she meant - and still means - to you all.

Oh dear. I'm sorry, I didn't see this yesterday.  GL, you and your loved ones have been in my thoughts and prayers.  Please accept my deepest condolences. I am so glad that you and your cousins and family were able to be with your beloved Grandmother during these last days... I'm sure it meant the world to her. And, I know how much it will always mean to you.  Your Grandmother's passion and love lives on within you... and your new son will know her though you.  One door closes, and another opens.
