Okay FBY sisters...let's show them how wonderful fancy brownish-yellow diamonds are...

Here is my 4.15ct radiant...the ChiChi Diamond (I have named it after my cat because the color is strikingly similar!).

I love all of your rings ladies! Although it may be the baby in weight Ronda, it probably gives the other rings a run for their money as the halo makes it look much larger!!! Looks like melted caramel!! YUM!!

Thanks Big Red!  The coolest thing about my ChiChi is the different colors it displays in different lights.  I love this picture...it really shows the personality of the stone...with its interesting "frame".

CH, does it have a yellow flour?
Rhonda, the setting and the stone are a perfect match, and the size looks graceful on your hand.

I don't think so...will have to check GIA cert.  It looks like it sometimes!  Funny thing...even my friends at work call it ChiChi.

I still can't get over the Chi Chi ring.  Yes the lil' cross in the middle and look at the edge (face view) it's just glistens!

Wow, you are all three the brownish yellow sisters (CH, Ronda, GL)

Ronda, remember that 75K necklace by DBL? I think the heart was FBY, but the heart alone was almost 4 cts & was outta my price range. That's the only brownish yellow heart I've ever seen.

You're a dear Amy!  I'm quite a step away from intense though.  My diamond doesn't actually have a GIA report (::gasp:: buying a 1ct, SI2 diamond without a report?? I would only do it from David, and it saved us some cash.), so I don't really have an 'official' color on it.

David called it FLBY in the ebay ad, and in the appraisal he said it was in the Y-Z range.  So it's definitely a light, but very present, yellow.  I actually think the little bit of brown intensifies the yellow in a way.  It also has some pretty serious fluorescence going on, which means the yellow looks different depending on the light.  If you look at the handshots which I did from the distance, it will look lighter because of all the sunlight coming in the window.

Can you tell I could talk about this diamond all day?  Tongue

I would never have guessed your stone had some brown Annie but I see what you mean about it's intensifying the color.  Your ring is gorgeous!

CH: Yup!  That's my favorite ChiChi pick too although I'd take any pic of that stonking pebble to be honest!  It's one of my favorite all time rings!

Amy, I remember that necklace alright - it gave me palpitations!
