This is the channel set band my DH got me for our 20th anniversary in 2006.

It's 1.00ct total in ten stones, half-band and is a heavy ring. Comfort fit.

I wear it with either my emerald cut soliitaire, or with my plain platinum wedding band. Smiley

I was just about to say the nails look fab too! I love how the band looks with both your ER and your plain band.  Nice to have other options!

It is a BEAUTIFUL band - what a great DH you have!  Wasn't he going to engrave this for you?

I love this!  Did your DH know what you wanted, or did he just pick it out?  If he chose it himself I will be extremely impressed!!!

Pick it out himself? Well, kinda Smiley  I did ask specifically for an eternity ring of channel set rounds just like it, but he chose the half band instead and was going to have it engraved with something for me. I was undecided at the time if I should return it and get the full eternity band I wanted.. or keep this (since he chose it for me).  Decided to keep this one and we'll get it engraved one of these days.

I used to only want to get a full eternity band, but now I am reall sold on getting bands that do not go all the way around because of sizing.   I know my finger size has changed dramatically so far in my life (9 in high school, 6.5 now), so I would rather not put an expiration date on my rings by making them unsizable!

Are you still planning to have it engraved?  What will it say?

I love that band DL! It really does look heavy! And it goes perfect with your EC ring! They both have AMAZING sparkle!!!!

This is very substantial...big fan of this one.

GL, that is a big change in finger sizes...wow!!  And a very good point about resizing too...

When you do decide to get an eternity band, will you go the same style (channel) and what about the size of the diamonds? Smaller? Bigger?

I wouldn't go bigger...

Six months ago I would have said I'd get the exact same thing, same size stones (would be about 2ctw).

But now.. I'm not sure. I still love the look, but might go for a bead set instead.

I've had various types of prong set eternity bands in cz and they look great, but the prongs sticking up bother me a bit.  I REALLY like the smooth touch of the channel set.

Hmm.. maybe a channel set but with millgrain edges? I've seen those and think they're great looking too. A bit of a mix of contemporary classic but with a hint of vintage.

ie.. I really like the look of this one!

That sounds like a great idea Rhonda!  I do love the way that this band looks with your EC!
