David
I hope you don`t mind me posting this. If you do then please remove the thread.
I`ve always wanted a pink diamond and in a recent moment of weakness I bought one. She`s only small, .42ct EC in fancy light pink, SI1 clarity and with GIA certificate BUT now I`ve got her, I haven`t a clue how to set her.
I`ve emailed David to ask if he`ll set her along with other diamonds and in a way only DBL are capable of. Something which will make "diddy pink " as I call her look important. DBL did such a wonderful job with Lil Bloo, that I`d trust nobody else to touch her.
Here`s a copy of her credentials with sizes and I`ll post pics next week when i return from a short vacation. Please please give me any ideas you`ve got !

Can't see the images (firewall is blocking them), but there is only one solution in my view: double halo in whiter than white (gold or platinum), with a pink gold basket under the pink.

OMC you must have read my mind. That was my very first thought. Also I was thinking double halo with the inner halo white diamonds/white gold and the outer halo pink ones in pink gold. I can see I`m gonna have sleepless nights over this stone !
Many thanks. Other ideas more than welcome.

I'm not too keen on alternating rings - the "bullseye effect" is lurking. Unless perhaps you manage to stagger them on the vertical plane as well, giving a more 3-d look...

I can't wait to see the diamond, Lynne!

I like the idea of a double halo for a stone this size, although I think I would side with OCM and pick colorless diamonds for both.  Maybe seeing it would change my mind...

Hey Lynn.

I like the idea of a halo too, however, a pink diamond is really special. That said,  if it were me, I would go with a baguette halo, perhaps setting the pink E-W in rose gold (DBL rose gold of course).  I like the look of a band-like appearance of bling across the finger.

I second the double halo. But I do like djm's east to west idea.

This is a peridot and a casting and the peridot is larger but here is an example of the look east to west.

I like the east-west idea too. Someone (can't remember who) had a stone bezel set into a wide band, and the band had diamonds round the top and bottom, so it looked almost like an eternity ring at each edge, It was gorgeous.

i recently spotted this setting and love the layout. it looks a lot like camilla parker bowles engagement ring from price charles, but in miniature. i think this would make a spectacular pinky ring!!! and congrats on getting a FP EC! i am green with envy.
