Hello Mrs M!

Quick question and pic request (because I've done a couple of searches and come up with nowt): what is the ctw of your asscher band and would you be so kind as to drown me in pics please?  I am totally smitten with it since seeing it at the wedding and fear I need to buy one........because I do have an anniversary coming up.......in about 50 weeks or so...... DJ, I remember for a time that Mrs. M coveted a 1.5ctw Asscher band that was on the site; however, I can not remember whether that specific piece is exact ring she has today.

Well, whatever it is, it's STUNNING.  I didn't want to give it back but she was holding my big yellow hostage at the time so it seemed I had to be polite......

Here's what I came up with: a 2.45ct, 5-stone band in platinum for Mrs. M. was special ordered in August 2008 and delivered one month later. Gorgeous, and meant to be.

Well poo.  This means the 1.25ctw isn't going to cut it for me now that I've gazed upon the glory of 2.45ct!!!!   Roll Eyes

Hahahahaha! I see Trinkette beat me to the draw. She's absolutely right. 2.45cttw H VS1 (from memory).
It's the most beautiful band on earth (biased!) and I love it to bits. More later, my dinner is ready!

Right! That's better.

Ok, so it's this one:
http://rockdiamond.c...nd-asscher-band-ring

However, before you make any decisions, and given that you have that glorious big yellow (yeah, I'd have had that in a heart beat, but I feel it's a little tacky to steal jewellery from the bride at a wedding) can I draw your attention to the fact that alternating white and yellow diamonds work very well together in a similar band?

http://rockdiamond.c...-yellow-diamond-band

Anyway, the ring is buttery smooth and comfortable to wear, even though it has a substantial weight of platinum. I can't think of anything bad to say about it - if I could only keep one piece, it would be this one.

ETA it's my maternity band. My plan before I ordered it was to pass it on to Amelia when she turned 21. While I was waiting for it, I thought maybe I'd wait for a bigger occasion, like a wedding or civil partnership. When I saw David's photos of it, I started thinking maybe I'd wait longer, and it would make a nice maternity gift for her one day. When I tried it on, I figured what the hell, she can buy herself a ring... Wink

Seriously, I think that I'll get David to find one more matching asscher, and we'll each have a three-stone for her 21st birthday. I do want her to have it, but basically someone will have to prise it off my cold, dead finger... Grin

OH, yes!!!  That yellow and white diamond band is fantastic...  love7  what a wonderful anniversary present that would make!  And it would follow greatly with your yellow diamond wedding gift theme.   angel   Evil

OMG!!!!  Rolling here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Okay, well I want one and am about to throw a bit of a paddy to prove it!  Sigh.  Some serious saving up about to start.  I absolutely need one on my finger a year from now......oh the trouble of being such a diamond nut!  Thank you for the links - I will look over all of it tomorrow.  I have a question to ask of David and then I have to get some sleep!  Thanks Jen/Trink/everyone!  x
