Yes it has finally happened! I finally bought my own camera! No more waiting on the SIL to take and download pictures for me.

To break in the camera and sharpen my skills. I wanted to show you all the cross my mom gave me. I'm not sure what the carat weight is but it sure is purdy! It is made up of white and yellow diamonds. I just love it! She didn't want it anymore and wanted me to try and sell it on-line for her. I was like hell no! I want that bad boy, so she gave it to me.

BR, congrats on the camera and your necklace is very pretty! Yes, get in lots of practice for your pear, though the pictures you took of the necklace look great, looks like you got a good camera!

Hey BB I was looking for a bargain and found one. Circuit City has a sale this week on cameras and since some of my diamond sisters said that a camera with an optical zoom is best for taking diamond shots. My fellow money collectors said digital zoom is best for taking pictures of my money collection. I found a camera with the best of both worlds. I got a Panasonic DMC-LZ3 it has 5.0 megapixels with 6 times optical and 4 times digital, it has a MEGA optical feature and image stabilizer. All for 149.99! I didn't want to go crazy on my first camera. When I get used to this and get good at using it I'll probably upgrade. But for now I think it is a good beginner camera.

Thanks guys!!! I am so thrilled with all the fortune that has come my way lately. It kinda makes-up for some of the heart ache. I finally got my DBL princess earrings that I have wanted since the day I saw them. I am getting the most amazing yellow pear! And I have been talking about getting a camera forever. So I can post a lot more of my "stuff"! Life is so weird sometimes. With the bad comes the good! Although I would trade all this stuff in a heartbeat if all the loss and tragedy I have faced lately would go away and go back to normal. OK I am carrying on now.....I'll stop! Thanks for all the kind words everyone. I will be getting a lot of practice to prepare for my new ring!
