Haha!  This is one of the reasons I WON'T let my DH pick out jewelry for me.   I also think the setting makes the diamond look so huge, that he thinks it is GAWDY!     freakout tard

ETA: Now if my husband's taste was like Ace, Gemelli's, or DJM's.........    he could pick out any jewelry that he want's for me! Wink

How can your hubby like the old one MORE than the new freakin' fantabulous remount!!?!?!? The new setting, halo aside, showcases the stone better, and it makes it look FREKIN AMAZING!!!

I still wear my 3 stone cushion as my ering.   The pear is switched as a RHR with my DBL halo ring and my asscher/sapphire ring.   Really it depends on what I am wearing as to what jewelry I will wear.    If I wear blues, I wear my sapphire set,  if I wear browns,  I will wear my DBL halo with my two-tone tennis bracelet/ round diamond necklace and my DBL yellow studs with some two-tone hoops.    If I wear pinks/purples/greens/black.....I will wear my icy white pear with maybe some of my "Sorrelli" jewelry.    I just love switching my jewelry around and giving them equal amount of attention! Wink Grin

Ronda - I'm so behind on all the threads as I've not had time to be on CDI for the past couple of weeks, but I saw on the other show your pear ring thread that you'd gotten a redo.  I just love your b-day gift from your mom.  It's just spectacular and huge!  Happy (early) birthday and congratulations!!  What a super Mom you have!

Thanks so much everyone for your kind words!    I traded in my old setting so that it didn't hit my mom's wallet too much!     I really did not pay much for the old setting anyhow so it was a very fair trade, especially since it made a world of difference as to how it now looks!  pear Smiley

I have not been on in a while but I just HAD to jump in when I saw this thread! This ring is one of the MOST gorgeous things I've seen lately! It looks 500% better, bigger than the old setting....just beautiful!

PS-I think it's prettier than Katherine Heigl's ring. Smiley
