i think it's brown pink...  can't be pink for the price they told me...  Cheesy  but they are PINK!!!!  i don't know yet about millegrain...  i'm thinking no millegrain...  since millegrain gives it an antique look...  i want more contemporary look...  don't know...  what do you ladies think?

Alex, when someone mentions an Asscher, I think of an antique look.  So my vote is milligrain, obviously I'm a bit biased.  But I lost sleep over this and am THRILLED that I went with it! What about DJ's brown asscher.  Isn't that sorta what yours will look like???

It is beautiful. For some reason I think without. I don't think you can go wrong either way.

It's going to be so beautiful Ace! The center is stunning.......and I can tell the surrounding stones are light pink. You should definitely set those in rose gold as it would bring out the pink in them!

Beautiful!!! I vote milgrain. Mine has it and I love it, but the picture you posted is gorgeous also! Mine has white melee (really wanted pink but didn't happen Sad) and in some lights, the rose gold makes the white melee look pinkish.

Can't wait to see the finished product!!

Would  someone be so kind as to tell me the difference ... milligrain or no milligrain?  hail

Sorry I just saw this.

Milgrain is the sort of bumpy texture around the outside of this ring. Milgrain is on many antique rings.

The one below is smooth, with no milgrain. Snoopers ring has milgrain. It looks quite nice.

Snooper's ring with milgrain around the outer part of the micro set frame

I think a verbal description would be pretty difficult to explain. Glad it worked for you. And let us know what the decision is ace.

You did see there is another male on board, gemelli. Both you guys are very secure in your manhood to hang around with us. And we are delighted to have male presence.

Heck, why not have an interest that makes your lady happy?  That's manly enough for me. Did I mention that I love to cook as well?  Grin

We both cook... but I cook because I love to cook good food, she cooks because she loves to eat good food (I also love to eat).  Our cooking styles don't overlap too much, so it works well.

Hmm... my specialty is probably miso-hoisin ribs or various pastas (5 years Italian/fusion restaurant experience) but more than anything I like to experiment with new ingredients and cuisines.  Trying to ease my way into Indian food lately....  a good excuse to beef up the spice rack!   Can't bake a lick as I'm incapable of sticking to a recipe without 'tweaking' things.

Maybe we need a More-Power Manly Cooking Thread (ladies welcome).... hmm....

Heh, "fixed" has more than one meaning, and that applies to recipes, too.  But I can give/work from sketch versions - a pinch of this, dash of that, handful of this....
