Many many many years ago when I came across the DBL site I said to the man in my life "i want one of these one day."  Being the skeptical e-shopper that he is, we went to our local jewel district several times and found the selection of yellow diamonds rather limited and outrageously priced (and it's supposedly the second largest district next to nyc).  So time went on and eventually he secretly worked with David and created something absolutely great.  It was even posted on CDI and I had no idea!

You'll have to forgive the photo.  It was taken with my cell phone because mine is officially dead.  It went kaput halfway through a game I had waited months to see.  Grrr!!

What's that? Is it a canary bird? Is it a yellow submarine? No, it's super-ring!

Can you let us know what it is, please, MASPA?

BTW - speaking of outrageous prices. Yesterday DW and I went to see The European Fine Arts Fair in Maastricht. It's probably the most important fine arts event in Europe, and it was full of lovely things. Unfortunately lovely tends to be spelled with too many zeros nowadays, but never mind. There were also quite a number of jewellery stands, most with signed period pieces.

On one of these stands, which shall remain nameless, was a pair of ear studs with two Fancy Vivid Yellow emerald cuts, about 1.75 ct each. The setting was a plain bezel in yellow gold, with no decoration or working whatsoever. The stones were quite nice, but not super-well matched in size, though they were a truly nice (and well matched) colour. Clarity was high, but not VVS (I could see the inclusions with a loupe with some difficulty, but they were visible; good VS2 or VS1). The price? Guess.

Needless to say, they are still there.

OMC it's a 1.03 FIY cushion with traps and baguette sides. And WWWOOOOWWWWW on the sticker on those bad boys.  I didn't see prices quite like you did, but I didn't approach anything that looked like it had too many zeros attached to it.

I love it!  It's a real beauty...so intense!  It's like having a piece of the sun close by at all times.  Wear it in good health!
