Wow.  That brooch is incredible.  I think it will look great as a pendant.  I had a similar thing done-- my FIL gave me a HUGE onyx/WG filigree/diamond accent ring that had belonged to his mother.  It was waaaaaay too big for my hand, but really lovely.  I had it converted into a pendant, and I love it!  It's much more wearable, which I think is the key.

Your butterfly brooch-- same deal.  Absolutely gorgeous, but I'm certain would get much more wear as a pendant.

Mine / old rose cut diamond butterfly ring set in silver and 24ct  gold from india Smiley
nearly 2.5ct in total  angel

here is a lil bargain i won on ebay recently

half a cart of diamonds set in 14ct white gold

and this like gem i found online

the butterfly is enameled on and its really pretty in the day light

Thanks for sharing the photos, BK. Really love the twin butterfly ring of yours. The style reminds me of the delicate twin flower diamond ring I gave my GF as a promise ring...

I do adore my butterflies , since being a little girl myself i think its just never left me  a08
unless i get busy i have no little girl of my own to go throw my box but i do have a son that is already interested in jewellery ..
bless him he promised me a butterfly ring when he gets big . ( he is 3 )

Hi everyone , i have one more to show thats just been added to my collection  Wink


really old cut diamond and emerald pendant plus ruby eyes .
just over 2.5 cts worth of diamonds , 1.5ct of emerald and the pendant is 2 inches across
the diamonds are not brilliant in colour but are amazing when sparkling away  Smiley
my Jeweller tested the gold and its 22ct  and i use it on a 14ct chain.

a new favorite for sure as it was a mothers dat treat  Kiss
