I updated the forum and when I did, the little drop down menu under people's names disappeared.

So to PM someone, click on their name.

Then there is a menu on the left. Look for Actions then Send a Personal Message which is right underneath. I think, while inconvenient, this will resolve the issue of pms not going to the right person which happened occasionally.

This wasn't planned and I don't yet know how to retrieve the menu thingy.

Many apologies, but you can't view just any profile."
