I was on here and checking the replies I had from yesterday and all the threads I have notification to aren't "notifying" me. I always check unread posts before I log off and almost everyone I have notify, but none came through. Elizabeth and Jewellk were leaving posts and none came through! I just thought I would give you a heads up! I just saw this in the last 45 minutes! I probably wouldn't have even noticed but I had just checked all those threads from my email notices and left replies, but the others left replies after me. I just picked up on it because of looking in the unread posts. Usually if I am still on here and someone has left a reply in a thread I just looked at or responded to, I instantly see I have an email telling me! But not today!

I think when there is a blip in the database, the subscriptions get undone. I have actually researched this and it's a frequent issue with all forums. For whatever reason this feature is more delicate than others. So this will take some trial and error. First you'll have to uncheck those you've checked. Then go to that thread and see if you can click notify. Or just go out of the window and back in. Let's start there. Sorry guys.

At about 3am, it blipped. They did a check. A kernel check? I forgot what it's called but it's part of maintenance.

I was having problems too and figured it had something to do with the SMF.    It seems to have worked itself as of now.   I am getting tons of email notifications!

One new blip is that 2 pm's I received (pop up window and email notification) came in for the 2nd time 8 hours later sans the pop up PM notice.  I notice these things happen when there are minor issues with the forum.

That's because they get knocked out with every blip! Hopefully, they will resolve this in the next major upgrade which happens next month.

Good. It was the server blip. I wish that feature was not so delicate. But I guess I'd rather that one be delicate than the posting one.

I love the way you think snooper. BR, that's what I'm here for. And BR, since you told me I could identify the correlation. Last time there was a blip on the server, I heard the same issue. So it's good to know that the blips upset the e-mails. Or rather delay them to be more accurate. It doesn't seem to stop it, just delay it. Without feedback, I wouldn't know this. So thank you.
