Ok, it might be me, but when I mark threads "read" it erases all the UNREAD posts I haven't gotten to...

How do I check off threads I have read only?

  Embarrassed

snooper, that's what it's supposed to do. If you click it, it marks the post as read and eliminates the "New" icon. To see posts you've not gotten to, you either choose unread posts or recent posts on the menu at the top.

Ooooooooooooo! See, when I log on, I always go to the top and select "unread posts".  And when I did this, I thought by clicking "Mark read", it would let me tick off things you know?

SO basically... If I go to unread posts, read what I wanna read, and then click "Mark read", I'll be left with a clean slate?

Sorry to be so inept!

If you read it and you click back on unread posts, that one that you read will no longer be on the list. You don't have to click mark read at all.
