OK, so since having the baby I have no time to sit at the computer, but I do browse and post from my cell phone.  Now I am having a terrib le problem!  DH got us new Blackberries, and overall it is great, but when I look at CDI I can only get it in text-only format.  Do you realize what this means?  NO PICTURES!!!!!!!!  I am dying here!  DH has tried to fix it and can't seem to.  Does anyone else have one of these torture devices or any suggestions?  HELP!!!!

Sorry I don't have the answer for you, but I feel your pain.

GL (and probably IHADP, too)-- I don't have good news.   Sad

My DH is an IT guy who uses a Blackberry at work.  So I thought he'd be a good person to ask.  He's just spent the last several minutes checking the site on his own Crackberry, and says that while he can view gallery pics, it appears to be impossible to view any pics in threads; he said that he couldn't access second and subsequent pages of threads, either.

He thinks it has to do with the way the site/threads/forum itself is constructed  Sad.  Sorry.

<he he, I love that smiley, couldn't wait to find something to use it on - this'll do!>

Ah well, thanks so much for checking into that robin.

Off to check to see if I can view Galley pics now, I never thought of that! That would tide me over!   Exit-Stage-Right

Oh no.  Thanks for checking robin.  It really is terrible.  There are some threads I can,t read past a certain number of pages into.  So frustrating.

Just a plug for the iPhone.  I know it isn't the same, but we've had great luck viewing the forum on it.

I know, but where I live we only get reception with T Mobile.  I had the T Mobile Dash, which was great for CDI, but DH decided to get these as an "upgrade".  (Imagine crying smiley here)

BTW, I can't even seem to find access to the photo gallery.  Robin, can you ask your DH how he got there?

Hey GL - The link to the gallery is in the paragraph on the top of the page, right under the buttons.

Here's a link:

Thanks Annie, but the problem is that none of the buttons nor that paragraph about DBL show up on the Blackberry.  Just the outline of topics from the homepage.  It also won't seem to let me turn pages within a thread.

What's up with that?  With all of the hoopla about the Blackberry, you'd think they'd have a solution.

Does anyone have an iPhone, and if so, do you encounter similar issues?

Huh?  Mikla

We changed phones, not networks.  We did try changing to AT and T, which would have meant we could get iPhones, but we could't get reception in our house or our general area.  It is not only CDI, of course.  Have to see if the other features of the phone are worth it.

Gl, I had him actually type in the URL manually, because none of the links at the top of the page were visible.

The links are button images and not just text links. I'm sorry you guys. I don't know if there is a way to render the site for pda at the moment. Not easily at any rate.

I have this forum thme set for Classic YaBB SE Theme.

I just made a change to allow you to set your own theme and one of them might work better for a pda. Let me know. I'm curious which one, if any of them, might render better. They are not lovely put they might be more practical for you. I can add a recent posts button at the top and it should render in all. But I can't make specific design changes to each of these.

Go to your profile > Click look and layout > Look for Current Theme and click (change)

You'll see a list of previews. Ours, YaBB, doesn't look like the picture at all. But you can preview before you change. You can also make changes to how it is threaded through your user panel in this same dialog box called profile>look and layout.

Well, I had to go back to the Blckberry and I was all prepared to basically sign off of CDI for a while, but there was some new software upgrade and it is now awesome!  The pictures look phenomenal!  If anyone else has a blackberry, you must do the upgrade!
