Just click on the persons name. Then look under actions on that left hand menu. It will say send personal message. The little drop down is gone. It took me a while to figure this out. But I don't have it either. I just did an update and I think it disappeared when I did that. So you can still PM.

There is a big update coming soon. And it will come with some new features and I will be able to add others.
