I LOVE those old fashioned facets, particularly on the sugar babies. Yep, that's the name annie. Sugar babies. I cannot wait to see this. What a ring that will be.

Thanks WM!  I'm a huge fan of chunky facets, and these certainly fit that description.

I'm glad you bought it, Annie. xD Those stones are gorgeous, and at that price I was dangerously close to getting the ring for myself!  Kiss

I love the comparison to sugar - really apt!  I can't wait to see this ring and I agree with you that yellow gold will work beautifully.  Congratulations.

Wow, we should call this the rapidly disappearing item thread, those two went IMMEDATELY.

Congrats to you too Rio! bigclap

david David, how often do you get OMCs and OECs?  I didn't know you did those at all, but these on this thread are awesome.  I'm completely taken with the old cuts lately...those chunky monkey facets, the open cutlet... <swooooooooooooooooooooonnnnnnnnnns>  I'm wanting a big honkin' one in the worst way.....

Tell me about it, IHADP! Those old cuts are to die for! Remember that pair of old-style step-cut cushions from a while back? I'd sell my firstborn child to see more of those.

In general, I think the older cuts are just... spectacular. I know, modern technology made 'better' cuts, but there's something so charming about the boofy facets and open culet.

YES!!  Loved those, totally.  DL snagged the ones I think you're talking about and they are such a beautiful match with her cushion pink halo ring.

Found the thread! http://coloreddiamon...in-matched-pairs/25/

David, we want MORE!  (and bigger, lol)!
