Awee.....thanks FL.   I appreciate your well wishes...thank you very much.

I haven't really shared this with anyone except admin staff, but this is really kicking my arse. I dunno...maybe it's my age or sumthin' -- I'm usually more resilient than this....but, I'm really having a hard time shaking it.

I lost a close buddy of mine to brain cancer. I knew it was coming, we both did. We spent hours everyday talking---the void has been deafening. He left behind a beautiful wife and three young daughters. His youngest turned five the day he died. My heart is breaking for them.  Anywho...this whole thing has got me thinking a lot about the stuff he said to me his last few weeks.

Sorry for being such a Dudley Downer...but....good friends like that come once in a life time.

Okay...now let's talk diamonds...has anyone seen the bean dip?

I am so sorry for your loss of such a true and valued friend, times like this life can be very hard, please send my sympathy to his family. DJM you truely are an amazing person we are all thinking of you at this time of sorrow but remember all the good times that you had with your friend and that will make you heart happy again.

DJM I am so very sorry for your loss.  I can't go into it here but I can understand the pain.  Hang in there... as long as you remember your friend and share his life, your friend will live on in you and all those you share him with.  There is a song sung by Josh Groban for the movie Troy called "Remember"  that says much the same.  I play it when I think of my lost loved ones.

However that stone is soo cool!  I bet it would look awesome in that style of a ring!

DJM, my heart goes out to you. And, I understand. I lost my first husband to brain cancer when our son was just 4-1/2. Certainly, life has never been the same.

How fortunate you were to spend time with your dear friend and to have such important conversations. I am sure it was a poignant time that was equally meaningful to both of you. And, collectively, those moments together were a gift that I'm sure will be cherished forever. He will always be with you. No one can take that away.

All my love to you and my heartfelt sympathies to both families.  I hope you are feeling a little brighter soon. Flowers2

He's been a rock for that family. DJM has truly made a difference that will never be forgotten.

And that baguette might have to fall in my jewelry box. Oh my. I mean oh my. Not tapered or anything. And David was on the lookout, too. Do you know how hard it is to remember when someone says "keep on the look out for a so and so diamond". Tough. And he remembered djm had been looking for one. That's a buddy for you.

T....you were spot on when you said that those "talks" were a gift that will be cherished forever.  Actually, they were life changing for me. He shared stuff with me that changed how I view God, the world and others. It's amazing how death lends itself to such clarity.  I have about six hours of chats over a two year period (when he was first diagnosed). I wish I could find a ghost writer to help me compile it into a book..it is that good.

Cig...I'm going to download that song. Sounds perfect. Thank you.

WM....you'll have to fight me for it first. (and btw, you have to fight fair--no diamondjunkie tactics that abuse your admin privileges). Wink

ETA: oh and yeah...you can't get annie on your side to gain up on me. (so typical of you guys).  Roll Eyes
