Tell me.....
from behind

The center has a GIA- it's called "Fancy Deep Brownish Greenish Yellow"

The sides have no GIA ...yet.
Am I crazy, or is that a hint of red?

The center is 1.74ct- the sides total .43cts

The sides remind me of Dr. Pepper, lol.

I love the center stone. It's exactly what I've been looking for, for years. Are you committed to the project yet?

On my tablet they look redish brownish orangeyish (how's that for a color)

That centr stone is to die for.  I'd love to own one like that myself.

They don't have to go together- do you think we should keep them as a three stone set.

We're looking at about $19k for the set. ...IOW- they're not "cheap" by any means.

Personally I think they compliment each other perfectly.

I could also see them with high whites if you were to split them.

My opinion is to not keep them together. I see the brownish greenish yellow with icy white side stones. And the brown side stones would be great as either earrings, or as side stones to a high white center stone.

What would be the price of the FDBGY if sold by itself? And any GIA details available yet? Not that I'm interested or anything.

I'd like to see the Dr. Pepper's as studs in rose gold to hopefully play up the red but thats just me.

Those are some crazy colors in the center stone. I can't even imagine how it will end up! I'm just amazed that diamonds really do come in red! Saw one elsewhere once and immediately thought it a fake. I learn something new every time I come browse on CDI. <3

Interesting point about red diamonds.
I doubt the diamonds have what it takes to get the "R" word from GIA- if only because I really respect the cutter- if he had any inclination they[d get graded red he'd have sent them to GIA- they'd be worth...who knows.

The 1.74 would be $17k on it's own.

I agree with GEB I would love to see those sides as earings, what are the measurements on them? set them in Pink gold too to bring out that gorgeous pink tone in them. I'd wear them in a heart beat. What sort of price are we looking at, set that way?

On my monitor, they look red for sure. Like . the colour of garnets. Awesome!

I don't personally care for the colour combination - I'd put the 'reds' with white stones to make their colour pop.

Wow, the center stone sure looks different face down vs. face up.  Very beautiful side stones, too.  They look pink-brown from behind, but much deeper in color face up.  I'd separate the stones and show them with icy whites to make their color pop.

Go for it, GEB!!!!!

Looking on my laptop, I see way more green in the stone than I did last night.  It makes me like it more, but less with the "red" side stones.

I'd do the the sides in rose gold with a halo of high whites around them.  Show off the color.

I really love that color of diamond though.  It's a color I could wear daily since it's really close to red looking.

I´d split them up too. I´m not too wild about the combination and those hint-of-red sides would look fabulous beside a high white.

And would it be totally insane to place the brownish, greenish, yellowish beauty between two emeralds???

I just love these. Don't see many colored step cuts around.  Stunning.

I think they'd be lovely in two separate rings, those reds would make great side stones for a warmer white centre. Although together they would make a very christmasy ring!
