I love that you can see the arrows in the melee where the split ends in that last pic!

I love that last photo where you can see just how beautiful those prongs holding the halo are.  *sigh*  This is on my dream ring list for sure.

I was looking at the prongs more closely- and noticed something very cool about the inside prongs for the OMB halo stones.
Each stone has it's own "claw' prong at the outside. On the inside, our guys pulled off an incredible feat. The inside prong for each stone is either a common platinum prong- shared with the stone next to it, or it's held by the back of the prong holding the center diamond.
The double claw prongs at the corner are strategically placed to hold the small old mine diamond on the outside. Truly a feat of jewelry engineering.

All together now:

OOoooooo! Aaaaahhhhhhh!

Chorus line aside, this is just so awesome! I'm still lusting over those OMBs. Stats David, pretty pretty please?!

Since I don't see a choral smiley, this definitely deserves a Christmas kickline:

I just had a chance to look closely at this one.  The craftsmanship is exquisite.  And those OMBs are beautiful.

Correction, please!  This ain't a daisy, it's a freakin' sunflower!

And I didn't catch the metalwork for the interior prongs on the halo.  What a killer way to set the stones!  Easy to see why uber is UBER.  They've got some real imagination working with their engineering, as well as a love and understanding of each stone they work with.  I was blown out by the arrows on the first stone past the split part of the shank, too, Sanchica.  Very Nice attention to detail.  Some day my ship will come......

I'm seriously in awe of this ring!  The old mine brilliants really add a ton of interest, and the prongs show so much planning and skill.   It's just stunning.  I'm so impressed by the things being produced recently.
